I have seen some of the flame wars erupt when there is an effort to classify sex workers in some kind of subsets or a caste system in which specialty A has a higher standing in the hierarchy than B.

Is there perhaps some competitive jealousy among sex workers of different specialties that creates the need for the"whoreacrchy"?

While far from a perfect analogy, there are general terms for professions including doctors, lawyers etc. that cooperate and advocate very well for everyone in the category while acknowledging that there are many subsets of skills and services offered within the general classification.

Your point of facing many of the same challenges and of the benefits of universal cooperation should be obvious to all.
