I asked my girlfriend about mood lighting. She loved the suggestion. Maybe flat wall mounting fireplace, the kind that flips on with a switch? Actually, mood lighting is extremely simple nowadays with multi-colored Smart LED bulbs or panels. It used to need to be a totally different set of lights or specifically changing light bulbs to create mood. However, in the last few years, these new bulbs/panels allow you to switch up the lighting from perfect exterior white to any color (other than black... which still requires a separate type of bulb) with just a remote or an app on your phone.
