If Cashapp is free, what is the hidden cost? I don't think someone like Jack Dorsey just creates an app like that out of the kindness of his nonexistent heart. What is he using the data for? Cashapp makes most of their money by charging businesses, not individuals. Being free to individuals makes it widely popular which then puts pressure on businesses to spend the money to use it.
