Sometimes I think that how subs go about things may be informative to Dommes and I can't shut up so here's a long ass post about it.

I am on my way to Vegas this weekend but didn't really make any plans to see anyone because 1) a Domme friend of mine was going to be staying with me since she was already going to be at AVN and 2) I have a Domme who resides in Vegas that I have seen regularly for several years. However, things rapidly changed today when the first Domme had to change her plans and stay home and I remembered that my local Domme was actually out of town on a vacation. That made me have to scramble to see who was going to still be at AVN this weekend and on into the early part of next week.

Normally, Backpage would have been a rich (but not only) resource I would have checked but with the changes there I had to figure out how to see who was available and I figure that this exercise (rather than all of us speculating) might be informative from a business perspective for the Dommes who inhabit this site. Of course, we need to keep in mind that this experience doesn't translate to what a newbie might do and that is really the pipeline that fed the use of Backpage over other sites to begin with and I was specifically looking for visiting Dommes rather than locals since I already knew that landscape since I visit the area several times a year.

My first stop was the "Shout Box" at Maxfisch since many Pro Dommes post to that as they come into town. Here I found Mistress Eva Cruz, Mistress Xena, Dear Serenity Smith and Mistress LeeAnn. From here I jumped over to the "Travels and Guest Mistresses" board in the announcements section of the discussion board and did a search on the term "AVN" (which came up empty) and then "Vegas". I found out more information about all who had posted to the shout box except Dear Serenity Smith who hadn't posted there. I then checked each Domme's profile for links to their website and followed each (except for Mistress LeeAnn who didn't have one listed and that immediately disqualified her from my consideration because of lack of information).

Next I went to Domina.ms and clicked on the "Traveling Dommes" link but found nothing. Then went to the discussion board and again checked both the Shout Box and "Travels and Guest Mistresses" board in the announcements section but again came up empty.

My next stop was Eros, which has exploded in the number of ads since Backpage closed the adult section (there are now 30 ads in the BDSM section where there used to be less than 10). I eliminated the local Dommes I already knew about, visiting Dommes that didn't have dates listed for their visit and ones that had dates that didn't coincide with mine (Why, oh why did Ms. Thora Nang have to visit the week after me???). That left me with Miss Sydney Jones, Mistress Xena, Miss Sarah Diavola, and Goddess Kitten. Like before I checked out websites and eliminated Goddess Kitten as a HWAW based on her ad as well as no website.

Next, I went over to Backpage... which was an unorganized cluster until I did searches on the following terms: "BDSM", "Fetish", "Domme", "Mistress", "Dominatrix", "Dominant" and "Domination". Here I found a lot of the locals that I knew about as well as Mistress Crystal (HWAW in my opinion), Mistress Alexis Kim, Mistress Vixenn and Domina Divina. Overall I would say that this search gave me more options than any other site for both locals and visiting Dommes. After finding each one Domme that qualified I went to their websites for more information.

My next search was in the DickieVirgin classifieds, which are also a cluster but it is a cluster of Dommes rather than escorts so my search term was simply "Vegas". There I found Miss Elizabeth and Mistress Eva Cruz (again).

Next was at FetPros where I again found Mistress Eva Cruz as well as Madame Raven Rae and Mena Croft (who I still think of as being from Detroit but I believe is based out of Vegas now).

I also hit some boards at FetLife which include Pro Domme Network (where I found Miss Celia L'amour and her identical twin sister Xena L'amour), and Pro-Dommes on Tour and those that love wish to meet them

My conclusion is that different Dommes are using very different ways to advertise their availability (which is why I wanted to list the Dommes from each one to show how different they were). Eros is the best general resource (even though it is also the most expensive for the Dommes) and Backpage will still completely work IF you do the kind of search optimization utilizing keywords in your ads that are normally reserved for websites. Finally, if you are traveling you should definitely use the resources at MaxFisch, Domina.ms and FetLife that are dedicated to Mistress travels (and are free) to get to that core audience of experienced client subs who look for those opportunities.

Thanks for this AspX. If Dickie Virgin would organize like BP did, they could be the bomb. Their site is already indexed well by search engines (although the classified section is not), but the new classifieds are a bit of a pain - having to drill down.
