I'm curious to know what people think is a reasonable/acceptable response time for a domme to reply to an emailed session inquiry? (using the contact form from her website).

Yeah, about what I was thinking 6-8 hours or at least same day if you email early in the day. Evening emails should be answered sometime the next day (preferably during the business day). In any event I agree within 24 hours is a good rule of thumb.

That's for general inquiries....specific requests to book a session giving a date and time should be answered more quickly.

Tangential, but I never understood why many (not ALL, but many) Dommes only use email. In the days of WhatsApp, burner phone apps, etc. seems like texting would be preferred. Most escorts I’ve met use text and it seems to work well, so never understood why so many Dommes are email only. In my experience, I’ve had way more communication challenges when corresponding with email then via text and seems to always go slower. To be clear, I’m not talking about screening, virtually every escort I know screens via web form/email. I’m talking about once you have been screened.

Timing matters, not sure when you sent your inquiry but with this weekend being a long weekend, delays may be more common.

I think there are a lot of variables that go into it.
Have you seen the Domme before?
Are you both local or is one of you traveling?
Did you get a sudden opportunity to session on relatively short notice?
Is it someone you’ve wanted to see for a long time and now have the opportunity?

We have to remember Dommes have their off duty lives with families, tragedies, full time jobs etc. It’s frustrating to have to wait for a response if you only have a day or 2 to set something up but it’s all part of the process.

We independent Dommes set our own schedules and we don't all approach our work in the same way. This includes our response times. Some of us may have other jobs, children, and other responsibilities beyond this work.

"Reasonable" is subjective. Some expect a response within an hour and others a week. Ask yourself what your needs are and then look for a good match for you.

Read her website to see if she indicates when you can expect to hear back from her. Then expect it to happen within that time frame. Don't like the time frame? Then don't contact her.

If she doesn't indicate then she likely has not created a set time for herself to respond. I wouldn't have any expectations in this case.

My time frame is 48 hours. This allows me sufficient time when I am busy with clients and other obligations. But I try to reply within a day. If someone sends a request and I happen to be sitting at my desk, you may get a reply within 5 minutes.

So, just to update. 96 hours with no response to two emails so I moved on. I reached out to two other Dommes in the area today. Both replied within 2-4 hours and I now have two sessions booked for later this month.

I actually read the Perb CC BDSM review forum for Vancouver and found several references to the first Domme being unresponsive to emails and a couple of instances of her taking deposits and being a no show. Maybe I dodged a bullet? It's a shame because I sessioned with her when I was there last (just before Covid) and she was great.

I would say the reasonable time is whenever she gets back to you? Kidding.
On a serious note though I try to not leave anything in my inbox for longer than 48 hours but I have weeks where I’m booked completely absolutely solid and I know I’m not the only one. Sometimes I have a day a week where I’m able to answer emails.
Here is my advice: If you’re on a tight schedule, try to reach out literally as early as possible. If it’s coming down to the wire and you really can’t wait, you aren’t beholden to the first person you reached out to but it does look flakey. I hope that is helpful.
