hot wax surprises

I have read various reviews and discussions of sessions and in some of them, the guy does not know fully what to expect or much of what to expect. He comes in and gets undressed and lies or stands or kneels in anticipation or waiting . . . and the domme takes him on a journey he may have expected or a partly unexpected journey.

So, the question is, has it happened to you or have you as a domme had a set up like that, with a sub, and then, at the beginning or during the session, applied hot wax?

I don't know if applying hot wax is worse or less bad than being caned or whipped, but it is probably pretty unpleasant and some people might end up yelling about it.

Hot wax on a guy who is not quite expecting it might be an interesting thing . . .

I have experienced hot wax in sessions more time than I can count (which may say something about my math skills). Different types of candles do burn at different temperatures so the amount of pain of the first drips can be very different but overall it is really only the first drips that hit the skin that actually are painful.

The pain from hot was is more like a quick spike that dissipates and although that spike may be painful, it is nothing in comparison being caned or whipped (or even paddled) in my opinion. After a bit, the wax starts hitting on the wax that is already there and it is more of a feeling of encasement than additional pain.

From a "surprise" standpoint, I have had wax applied to my body while being bound to a table and blindfolded/hooded, so yes the first drip (or pour from a candle that may have been burning/puddling for a while) may have surprised me. However, that is definitely a momentary situation as it is obvious from both smell and feel exactly what is happening. Overall, I think wax play is better served by not being a surprise as the visual of the threat and the ritual of lighting the candle and the Domme playing with it as the wax melts before it is applied is really part of that kind of play.

You are obsessed with surprises. Unlike some of your other strange ideas I can see hot wax being done as a surprise though not as often as you're thinking esp. in first sessions. And when it does occur in a first session and it was not checked on the interests section of a form then I imagine it usually happens late in the session after the Domme has gotten some idea of the sub's tolerances and vibes.

Unlike AspX I have a rough count of the times it was done to me. It was either 7 or 8. In another thread I talked about Mistress L and how she introduced me to a lot of new things. After one session I asked if there was stuff she would like to do to me that she had not yet done. Hot wax was on the list and we did it the very next session. One variable in the amount of pain it causes is where it lands. Some places are more sensitive than others. The first time she started with the less sensitive ;ole the back where it is more sensual than painful. At the very end she took careful aim and a few drops landed somewhere sensitive. She gauged my reaction to that then announced that the next time there would be more of those. And there were but it was still a mix which some more painful than others. She was such a delight
