Backpage Adult Classifieds Shut Down

Information about the shut down is available on the site but wanted to make a quick post as an FYI to everyone since it affects so many who visit here.

I just noticed tonight. This is an outrageous move by the government that is becoming increasingly more tyrannical. They may even shut down sites such as the Buzz and other Femdom sites too. They're already censoring on a much broader scale with the whole "fake news" crap.

It's the mainstream news that are largely fake. But the tyrants are pushing to censor truthful information out there, labeling it "fake news" and outlawing it.

I am concerned about our future ability to obtain truthful information from the Internet about any subject, and also concerned about the ability to seek out Fem Dommes and talk about our kinks on forums such as this.

I hate heavy handed government and that is all this is. For that I am opposed to the taking down of backpage. However, I have long thought that the Domme industry would be better off without backpage. For established Mistresses I think it's good thing. If you have been around a while and have a well indexed website, subs can find you by doing a web search for "city name" Dominatrix. If you do that in Atlanta, Atlanta Dungeon and My website are consistently among the top 5 results, along with other well known Atlanta Dommes. Up until recently, backpage was also at the top and many would be subs got lost among the pretty pictures. Now scheduling a session takes a bit more work. I don't think that's a bad thing.

Traveling is the only time I think I will miss backpage. I have always advertised on Eros both locally and when traveling, even though fewer and fewer clients came from there. That has already started to change. It the removal of adult ads on BP helped anyone, it was Eros Guide.
