Favored Playspaces

Favored Playspaces - 01/19/21 08:03 AM

Over the years, I've experienced quite a few. They've ranged from large dungeons that have several small session rooms. That felt impersonal. I didn't care for it. I've been to wide open spaces, with a few theme rooms that rocked, historical homes converted to large play rooms, remote cabins turned dungeons...you name it. I've also done prearranged sessions on boats...which was cool but not an option for every day. I prefer large open spaces that gives off the more lifestyle vibe.

What are some of your favorite dungeon types?

While I started in dungeons I moved away from them as the years rolled by. I like more lifestyle settings and been lucky to session in Mistresses' apartments and homes on occasion. I also like nice hotels and have started sessions in secluded parking lots, stairways and have been ordered to go upstairs from the lobby or escorted the Mistress at the end of sessions to her car. I also sessioned outdoors - pre-smartphones and online security cameras - at dawn during the summer on the waterfront.

I really dislike medieval dungeon-type spaces. I like cozy, clean, and feminine. If it looks like it's someone's kinky bedroom even better. I'm currently really happy with what I have going now, just wish my ceilings were a bit higher.

I feel like ive sessioned anywhere and everywhere.

Im now much more into a session in a nice hotel or a house than a dungeon. Dont know wht but i love an ultra modern design to the room. Not a kink setup but it gets me in the mood

I once did an outside session in a secluded residence thought it would be cool but couldnt get over the privacy aspect.

Their is a very well appointed dungeon in my city run by a local domme. Its in a warehouse. High ceilings, open floor plan. Great space.

I really want to do one in my house which i should be able to pull off once the pandemic dies down.

The boat sounds cool. But my like with boats it would break down mid session😂.

Homes, apartments, hotel rooms for sure, exactly for the lifestyle feel. I'm not a fan of dungeons.

I do like actual dungeon settings when they don't have the commercial feel. Irene Boss's Compound it magical.

Outdoor sessions are the bomb. When I'd get bored of my studio, I'd do rent cabins in remote areas. With the open beams, and rustic look they were easy to convert. I'd get them with a hot tub on the deck. After an extended session, my client and I would jump in a laugh about all of the fun we had.

It is too bad we didn't meet up when we were both doing sessions. It sounds like we would have clicked.

I checked out your play space. It is awesome. The lighting is a great touch. If one of the ladies in Sex in the City had a dungeon, I imagine that is what it would look like. Do you ever film?

Warehouses are great. One of my favorite places to rent for shoots was a warehouse. We'd set up a suspension unit and that was all it needed. Very cool times.

That is cool. Do many ladies in California session out of their homes?

All I've experienced is the home my girlfriend and I share. I itching to try a professional setting. It is the thought of the formality and equipment that is turning me on. I agree with Domme Lnyx about the medieval setting. I don't want to feel like I'm at a Halloween attraction.

Re: Favored Playspaces - 01/20/21 12:01 PM

The lifestyle vibe of playing in a house or apartment is really a big deal for me

I never really thought of it this way until now. but when i first started doing this 20 years ago the playspaces were always hidden. Down a dark hallway in a dark room etc. it was kind of seedy. Somtimes that could be good but i wanted this to be part of my life.

These non dungeon scenes normalize the lifestyle for me.

Now its more about just 2 people connecting. Or 3 people if thats what you are into 😄.

You must have been an absolute blast to session with. I remember seeing your ads in magazines and thinking how I would love to have a session with you. Basically you were hot!!!! I was single at the time too but too scared and locked into my own life at the time to travel to Rhode Island where I think you were. Maybe Ohio? Definitely one of the things I look back on and regret my inaction.

Re: Favored Playspaces - 01/20/21 02:49 PM

I’m not sure if I have a favorite. The first Domme I saw on a regular basis sessioned out of her apartment in a 3 flat in a quiet residential neighbourhood. I’d park a couple blocks away, call from a pay phone and walk up. She had some equipment which was enough for me. I’ve had great sessions in all kinds of different spaces. The thing for me is I’m
always worried about being recognised so anywhere I don’t see people coming and going is good.

What is your idea of a traditional dungeon? I ask because I've seen so many. Some of them have been wide open spaces and spectacular. Others have been theme houses that was like stepping into a magical world. Some of been a receptionist in the front with a row of small "Dungeon rooms," and had the feel of being in an hourly no tell motel.

I've been lucky enough to session with a couple! Most are sessioning out of more typical dungeon-like settings, alas

I guess the dedicated rooms to be specific. Only been to one house and didn't like the vibe. I prefer not to mingle with many others beyond who I have come to see. Plus there's enough stories about houses in general (upselling, etc.) and the one time I was there I experienced exactly that. I'm happy to pay fairly, but I don't like that tactic at all.

Dommes who have a dedicated, room with quality (sturdy) equipment are what I have found most to my liking. The authenticity is important. You can tell cheapness right away. Smaller and intimate is my preference. Just enough room necessary to do whatever activity you're doing. I also think private dungeons tend to be cleaner from what I've experienced.

Probably the last truly memorable dungeon I ever visited was Empress Dominique's in Jersey City during the '98 to 2000 time frame. It was a whole process to get there. Drive to NJ from NYC and make a quick right hand turn off the Holland Tunnel. Either pick up the Empress at her home or meet her there. (She shared the space with another Mistress and it was always just the Empress and me there.) It was in an old warehouse. It consisted of a small waiting room, a bathroom and a large playspace with a cross, benches, etc. for bondage, various equipment, etc. a very theatrical space. A perfect stage for the Empress. And I did serve the Empress at her apartment too which was great since it was more lifestyle and intimate.
