Screw Er0s, please use Tryst

Screw Er0s, please use Tryst - 01/17/21 03:24 PM

Hi everyone, I know most people use Er0s when advertising or looking for a provider. Unfortunately, Er0s is a scummy site that is known for ripping off providers, having terrible customer service, giving the feds access to all their info, etc etc. I could write a four page essay on just that sites negatives.

I am in no way affiliated with Tryst ads, but I'd love if we could all start using it instead. I've used various sites, and spent hours researching and talking to other providers. Tryst just seems 100x more ethical. It's also becoming very popular.

Please, drop providers and clients, drop Er0s. Don't let them get away with treating providers so poorly.

I agree, tryst.link is a great site. I like that it allows providers to link directly to their websites.

Ive had good success with Tryst for finding escorts although its been a year.

For what its worth i asked an escort at dinner which site she preferred. She said without a doubt clients on tryst were more reliable.

I definitely agree we need to stop using Er*s, but the problem I have with tr*st is that it is marketed as an escort site. The very name hints at a sexual escapade. I don't need to create any more confusion with potential clients about what kinds of things I do.

I prefer Dickie Virgin.

I heard Er*s was getting overpriced and went downhill. Aside from when MF had live listings, Er*s was the place a decade or more ago, where a sub would be able to find plenty of well-known dominas and dungeons advertised in major cities nationwide. I visited Tr*st and I completely agree about the "confusion" it could cause.

Dickie Virgin was always packed with listings, and I agree with you Mistress, it seems to be the best site.

I used to use E*os back in the days when I toured in Canada and US. It was great in 2013 for many years. But it never really took off in the UK. You'd get guys calling at midnight saying "ya working?"

I started noticing it go downhill about 2017 even before Sesta/Fosta. The last straw for me was when they changed their terms during one of my touring ads which defeated the purpose of my ad. When I contacted them, their attitude was not very good.

Tr*st doesn't stopped operating where I live. But I never got a single booking from that site in the time I was listed there.

Dickie Virgin has been around since the beginning of the internet and specifially targeted at Femdom. As they're based in Canada, I doubt they will be affected by ever changing US laws. Plus the classified ads are great. They seem to be one of the last ones standing.

PS: I don't know why didn't spell out the two website names but that's what everyone else was doing so...

I'm just super paranoid and don't want the board to be linked with something on the governments radar if you search it lol

Eros is the fucking worst. I just signed up for tryst.link and already love the set up of the site.

Its got a section you can add your tour dates! Its got clear rules for pictures and content! I don't have to pay with bitcoin!

Hopefully the site will thrive and we can finally ditch erosguide for good. Its not populated with many Dommes as of yet but I'm glad to know others are jumping on board!

Hello DL. I agree with everything you said about both sites. Unfortunately, I have had no luck with Tryst. It's a gorgeous site and very well laid out. I've been on it for well over a year and was even interviewed there but it doesn't attract clients looking for BDSM. At least not for me. I've gotten some really waste of time leads though (mainly looking for "a session right now") and the one client I did get through there had never seen a Domme - only escorts.

In my opinion if a site doesn't come up in a search like "FemDom Mistress in Atlanta" then it is of little use because clients aren't going to find it. On Google, that search turns up Dickie Virgin #1 and Eros #4. Tryst is nowhere. I wish it did a better job for me because I would love to give EG the boot.

haha ok. I noticed that it was a "thing" so thought I'd follow the trend. Paranoid is good. I swear by my paranoia.

I've been lucky enough to have had some great clients from the site, but there any many timewasters. I think if more people moved there though it'll get better by word of mouth, then higher in Google due to more traffic but your concern about it not coming up in Google right now normally is a great concern.

For those of you who don't know, Tryst is run by the same people who run Switter and I believe it was the next step in development after Switter's ad tags were completely overwhelmed with use.

Personally, I hate Switter as a community space because it is run "by sex workers for sex workers" in a radical way that makes those of us on the other side feel unwelcome. I was one of the people who immediately jumped on the platform after it started a few years ago (I think I joined on day 4 or something) but soured a few months later after dealing with the moderators multiple times (while being treated completely differently when they assumed I was an SW versus a heterosexual male client).

However, my issues about switter do not translate to Tryst... And, in fact, help bolster the argument for them as an advertising platform. However, where Tryst fails miserably is in the support of our community. Although a Domme can choose to say she is a Domme, it treats that information like a service offering rather than moving her into a separate category like craigslist/backpage used to... Or that Eros does now (DickieVirgin classifieds are dedicated to us).

That makes it next to impossible to use as a D/s, BDSM or fetish client to find Dommes. Add in the fact that it is so little known within both our community, and the general population of men who might be clients, and it's terrible search engine results, and what you end up with is the best run/built advertising site but one that is generally useless for Pro Dommes.

The good news is that the people who run Tryst are generally open to good feedback and are continually improving but until there is a cacophony of requests/feedback from the Pro Domme community about needing a separate area nothing will change there. Keep in mind that overall we are a niche market within the SW world and the background of switter/Tryst is sexual escorts and their sexual politics, so our concerns don't resonate with them naturally in the way that things from escorts or LGBTQIA+ do.

YMMV,

Asp

The interface could use some work but you can find BDSM-exclusive people on it. Click on the box that says, "enter city or postcode." A menu will pop up where you can deselect escort, fbsm, and online providers, and the remaining list will be BDSM exclusively.

I'm really impressed with the inclusivity of tryst. There are a lot more Black, non-binary, and other people historically underrepresented on the big advertising platforms.
