After having to remove a great deal of their content and making changes that hit them in the wallet, their response was to cut the payouts to their stores by 50%. These folks are the scum of the earth. They got their start by stealing content. After a while, they allowed video producers to have a percentage of what they had stolen from them. Now, rather that accept that will make few less million dollars a year, they drastically reduce their payouts? There are some producers that have put all of their eggs in one basket with them. Porn Hub is like the mafia. These are really crummy people.

I had no idea about the back story there. For providers, that really does suck. I've been there, but I've also been to iwantclips and clipsforsale. Are those two legit in compensation to the providers?

Also, iwantclips seems to not like any of my credit cards these days. Not sure if it's related to all this upheaval.

Clips4Sale was founded by a man who was into the scene on a personal level. He was always been incredibly fair and considerate to everyone. In recent years, he sold to a larger company- at least partially. I don't know the details but am pretty sure he still has some control. Even now he is still available, even to the point of offering his private cell phone number, to anyone who needs assistance or advise. Great man. They have never allowed pirated content. I am pretty sure that Iwantclips, also, has never allowed pirated content.

As far as the credit cards being decline, one of the things that C4S had going for it was a seamless roll over of merchants. If one declined the card because it was an adult purchase, it automatically rolled to an other one, and then another one and however many it took. That was the genius of the founder, Neil. So, it isn't Iwantclips, denying your purchase. It is Visa and Mastercard. Every year, they become more and more difficult for adult businesses to work with. They call it "Scrubbing," where they commonly flag adult purchases more often than mainstream ones. We've probably all had mainstream purchase, like vacuum cleaners or lawnmowers flagged for fraud. Visa/Mastercard, just turn up the volume on the scrutiny of adult purchases.

Hey, it's frustrating when platforms make changes affecting content creators' incomes. There are diverse platforms out there like phim 18 catering to Asian content. It's important to support platforms that value fair compensation for creators.

I agree. This is why I have never listed any video, as informal as mine have been, on any "clips" site. Not counting for how pervasive piracy is, and how I really, really don't want to deal with it, people are just gross in so many ways.

It's always surprising to me when I see Dommes complain about how they are treated by one of those sites and yet they continue to put their work up on them! I wouldn't want them making a penny off me. If everyone pulled their content, guess what? They'd have nothing!

This shift might encourage folks to explore different platforms, ensuring fair treatment and support for content producers. Diversity in platforms also offers more options for both creators and viewers.

You are so right about this, ethically. However, the investors on sites like Porn Hub don't care. It is all about the money. It is all about volume over quality. Sadly, the customer often doesn't know they are watching pirated content. I commonly receive emails from men telling me how much they love my Porn Hub videos.

C4S changed in the last few years and not for good. It was always expensive but this is a feature. The best value you could get from it was c4slive which they discontinued. They said they would bring it back, they did not. So I don't think they host membership sites any longer. Cybill Troy moved to JFF I think the rest gave up.

Another change they made was about 2257. A professional like you I am sure crossed all the Ts and dotted all the Is. At least two content creators I know had to close their studios. I would say when you worked for years with a business partner existing stuff should be grandfathered.

Interestingly enough while the stores are closed its contents are still available from searches and you pay just the same. I hope they still share with the owners.

A lot has changed since the original owner sold C4S. I haven't ran my own stores for years so I don't have recent, first hand, experience. But, I can tell you that the document requirements on all platforms have been heightened. Right now, it is obtainable. However, if they start requiring things like proof that someone who is masked matches the model release, it will be a serious blow. There are so many things being added that not many of us video producers didn't anticipate. ClubDom and SubbyHubby have always covered the bases pretty well. But, the pressure on platforms where the content is offered and the credit card merchants has become increasingly oppressive. I can understand the need to verify everyone's age and consensual involvement. It has just gotten ridiculous.

As for the ladies who've shut down their stores, I would hope and expect that if it is still shown on C4S, they are getting paid. Platforms like Pornhub were founded on piracy. Scumbags like these folks have made more money from stealing content than the people who produced it.

Changes in the society at large have side effects in lots of different areas, like freedom at large, cryptos or BDSM. The tendency is towards less freedom. Personally I was lucky to see a lot, capture or store most of what I wanted so I am OK. I am really annoyed to see reality wiped out, things that were available disappearing, like history being rewritten. I liked much better what existed ten years ago. Now you have more quantity, much better graphics, but so much worse content.

Frankly it looks like there is much more hypocrisy, I think mostly originating from credit cards and larger players (like Pornhub) which are easier to pressure.
