Cash App Question

Cash App Question - 05/23/20 07:48 PM

Can someone tell me how sending a deposit on Cash App would show up on my online transactions and/or quarterly bank statement. I am particularly looking to find out if the recipient’s name or nickname/handle shows up?

For context with Zelle the transaction shows Zelle , the amount sent and the recipient’s name as opposed to Venmo which just shows as Venmo and the amount sent. There is no name or information who received the money on my transaction or statement if I donate or pay for something using Venmo.

If you want to be as safe as possible I'd suggest to put the money into your cashapp via the "add cash" option, then once it's there send the money thats in your cashapp to that person (this way it wont go from directly from your bank to that person, but to cashapp)

Thank you Excuse me if this question isn’t clear but where do you get the money from to put into your Cash App using that “add cash “ option? Is it that you link your checking account to Cash App ?

YOu can add money to your Cash App account via a credit card, debit card, or bank account that you link to the account.

In addition -- and I haven't used this yet so confirm everything I'm saying -- you can also get a Cash App "Cash Card" which is basically a Cash App Visa Card linked to your Cash App account. You can go into big retail stores like Walmart, add cash directly to the Cash Card, and that shows as available balance through the CashApp app. 'course, if you're worried about the wife seeing all this, you have the problem of explaining the Cash Card that was mailed to your house. But if you can get past that, then basically you can go to Walmart, take $300 out of the ATM, walk over to the counter and put that $300 on your Cash App, and all transactions only take place on your Cash App account

Thanks. I was excited about that Cash Card for a minute until I saw that you have to do ATM withdrawals first and having it mailed out would not be good either. I realise it’s impossible to eliminate a paper trail entirely but I try hard to have as small a one as possible.
