How Long Between Whippings

I am far from a masochist, but I took a very thorough whipping from Mistress Ultra Violet 2 weeks ago. I still have residual whip marks on my back (of which I'm proud). My question especially for submissives who are not classified as masochistic, how long do you usually wait between whippings? How long do your marks last? Incidentally, there was no blood spilled from the whipping, a testament to Mistress UV's whip skills.

Being in situations where visible marks could be a problem, I cannot answer that, but I would like to add to the question.

How do you take care of it and what can you do to speed up the healing? The only medication I see is mederma and it seems to take a long time. How do you deal with the inconvenient location of the marks on your back where it is difficult to reach?

Are there any solutions for guys interested in the activity but for which long lasting marks are a problem?

I always recommend neosporin for immediate aftercare. It makes the marks much less likely to linger.

You can reduce marking a lot by wrapping the submissive in plastic wrap or latex. It's not 100% foolproof and a lot depends on the individual's skin and the brutality of the whipping, but it does make a big difference.

My kind of sessions are more likely to result in bruises than in lacerations. Icing and arnicare are best remedies. Also something which I suspect might apply to all is that while Motrin is tempting it has to be avoided because it prevents hematoms healing.

Check out Arnica oil. It's used to reduce swelling and minimize bruising.

I am using the gel. But ice is by far the most effective.

Some important background is of course if you take any medications, have any health conditions or concerns, your general skin condition and your age.

There is no magic number of "wait 2 weeks and everything will be fine."

However, I can add that if you don't have anything that might cause issue with any of the following:

Topical- emu oil is good for promoting healing and inflammation. Marula oil is incredible for inflammation. Dit da jow helps with bruising.
Oral- Tumeric for inflammation.
