Blizard Thread - Booking via Telegraph in the old west - 12/02/19 08:40 AM

Greetings!

I heard there was a storm out east, so some of you that are staying put may find this entertaining. Kind of a word game.

We book sessions at the telegraph office. The telegraph operator should not know what we are up to. Post, reply, decode, have fun! An example:

Dear Lady Stop

I have found a pair of otk stockings here. stop

They are very red. Would you scold me for buying them for you? stop

Can you set a date and one hour for meeting? stop

Please ask our friend how many grams of gold dust are in the drawer. stop

-----------------------

Another example:

Dear Lady stop

I saw something amusing today. stop

A squirrel tried to bury food under a porch today. stop

The lady was having none of it and kicked his walnuts vigorously across the lawn. stop.

Can you set aside a time for tea when I travel there? stop

I have a new bag to deliver to you to use as you will. stop

Please ask our friend how many grams of gold dust are in the drawer. stop

Goes to show there's nothing new under the sun.
