I just tried it with Firefox and got no such message.

Maxfisch does not use an SSL connection, but neither does this site. As long as you don't use the same userid/password on those sites as you do on more important sites (financial, email, etc) it should be fine.

I use Firefox and an not getting that message either. Maybe it was a temporary thing. Or maybe it was his settings.

That was trying for secure access (https) and that site must not use a current method of secure access.

When I tried to access it without that prefix, the page could not be found.

When Max was going down someone recommended deleting private messages that may be sensitive. I did just that.
I went on today and all this messages are still there.
Is there a way to delete my Max account? I tried earlier today and could not find. TIA

Not that I know of. You could change your user name to something that is no way recognizable as you. Or you can go to your page of messages, check each message, then delete them all with one click.

I did that a month or so ago as far as deleting messages. Went back yesterday and they were there again.
When I deleted initially I double checked.

My guess is when they brought the site back up they used a saved archive from before your messages were deleted. I know it's a pain, but you might want to try again and see if it sticks.
