Looks like maxfisch.com is having DNS issues.

Reports of its life have been greatly exaggerated.

It has had DNS issues before, usually lasts for a few days until someone notices it.

Thankful that this very nice place, The Buzz, has been provided for us.

I agree. I'd like for this site thrive. MF is just too flaky.

Maybe this time we were lucky because it is not happening to me. MF was not administered for a long time and somehow it survived, but without full functionality.

On the other hand, the other side of MF, the World list of Domes cannot survive without administration. That is why I proposed how to replace it with a forum variant, less convenient to manage but being able to keep the information up to date.

A managed site, like this one, would not need the complicated setup I was proposing there. It could just implement it as a natural list like MF used to do it.

Of course this is just about the technical side. Whether this is risky in attracting attention politically is something I am not qualified to talk about.

I think we have a good deal here right now as things are.

No argument about this. This is why I am here. At the same time there are things I can do only at MF. My recent flurry of posts was not due to an increase of my interest in BDSM but because I saw a crisis and some need for action. Before I found out about the problems at MF I have been absent for about 2 months.

There is a guy who does not post a lot but whenever he does I am very interested to read what he has to say, TheDriver. He sent me a PM during my absence and I responded when I came back, about a month ago, but he has not logged in since. I have not deleted my PMs and I am glad that he can find my response.

While reading past posts from long ago I noticed how different excited sounded from his current posts. I can talk to him about it.

My mistress has over 4000 posts there, and only about 10 of them are from the last 3 years. There are answers there to many of the discussions we had or we have not had yet.

So while the winner takes it all might work well for you, because you are mostly looking forward, which is a good thing, the past is equally important to me and I see value in having both sites working.

The Hang was loading slowly this morning. It didn't load at all twice! I'm afraid the Hang isn't "fixed" at all.

I've started posting there a little. I really need to break the habit. With the uncertainty of the hang, everyone would be much better off over here.

I couldn't agree more. Several Hang members are celebrating the url renewal like it means the site has been updated. The facts are different. The site doesn't work, and error messages are piling up.

The owners don't care about it, and nobody moderates it! The Hang had it's day, it's over.

I'm a one board Domme. I've made up my mind about it.

Maybe I'm lucky, but I visit it daily and I had never had any problems posting or reading. I expect that the dynamic will be that somehow these two sites will go in different directions. I don't know how, but it will probably happen organically. Wishing bad luck to the other team won't make any practical difference.

I'm not wishing the other team bad luck. I'm just stating the facts. The site is barely limping along, it has serious problems that will cause it to become unusable. I'm not hoping it happens I know it will.

Most interested parties believe Eros Guide owns maxfisch.com. They won't sell it due to the potential competition between the two. A redesigned and correctly managed maxfisch.com could take a big bite of their profits.

Maxfisch.com has been abandoned. It's not going to jump up and fix itself.

Meanwhile, the band plays on while the maxfisch.com ship sinks!

I think the site will be stable for a long time, at least until around July 2021 when the domain name expires again.

As far as Eros goes, I think there is more to the story than Eros wanting to kill the sight after having bought it. They could have just deleted the site and paid to park the domain.

Not to be argumentative but the site wasn't stable yesterday. It's always much slower than this site.

Let’s not kid ourselves here. While I came here cause Max looked like it was closing. The Buzz isn’t a whole lot more active than Max. Hopefully it will pick up but I doubt it will ever be like in the mid 90’s to early 2000’s was.

The influx of people has slowed down since The Hang came back.

The prodommes who are used to Twitter are staying away from both places.

I agree regarding dommes and Twitter, some don't have websites anymore, and most are obsessed with social media.

I believe it's just a matter of time before Twitter goes the way of Facebook. Twitter is actively allowing the promotion of prostitution, serious moderation and wholesale banning are on the way.

I think that if enough Dominas migrate here and abandon the Hang, subs will follow. Let's hope.
