I recently finished the autobiography "There Is More To The Story" by Mistress T of Vancouver.

I remember reading a comment here on The Hang years ago where the author wrote that if you read one prodomme tell all, that you read them all.

Not true for this book.

It is a full autobiography.

It paints her, and refreshingly, all kinky people as full 3D human beings.

Its about her life and how her life evolved to have the career she does.

Even apart from the sex and the kink, her story is very interesting.

I particularly enjoyed the last part of the book where she described being dragged to an ayahuasca retreat where the guide turned out to be a petty, mean, and judgemental person who tried to mess with her. I could relate, having had my own experiences discovering that "spiritual people" can often have their shit less together than any random person you might meet. Reading between the lines I think the retreat led her to therapy, which led to the reflection on her life that drove this book.

The book is very well written and the story is compelling

Mistress T is super hot! I wish she was still doing real time.
I'll get her book, is it on Amazon?

Of course.

Anyone can write one of these books, but she turned out to be a pretty decent writer.

I totally disagree with that comment. There are a few common denominators like debunking the myth that mistresses are very rich and living like princesses. But their real life stories are fascinating, very interesting, and can have profound differences, starting with the cities and time periods when they were active, but the most interesting one having to do with their real life experiences.

I think I could write biographies of over 100 pages for two different mistresses, and they would be completely different.

I think the reason we do not read these very interesting stories is that those who have interesting stories to tell are the professional discrete ones, who protect their customers, who to them are much more than customers. This is not a guess. I asked them why they don't write and each one gave the same answer.

I avoid tell all books due mostly to their sensationalist and inflammatory nature.

I have just migrated from the Hang, and it's great to have a working board!

That isn't this book.

Its an autobiography and it is mostly about her painful upbringing, her struggle to overcome it, how she drifted into BDSM along the way.
