Speaking from the opposite site I am not a fan of OnlyFans either. They are responsive but mercenary. If you are late 1 minute they will charge you for a new month.

I opted out of using Only Fans when I heard the guy who started it stole the idea from his girlfriend and apparently stole some of her money (which I think she said her mother had given her) to start it.

I see a lot of Dommes pushing only fans a lot. I’m not really sure what exactly you get with that. I know most Dommes used to have monthly membership on their websites although with C4S that kind of replaced it these days. Are all these things different contents or the same just what kind of service you pick?

It really all depends on the Domme herself... Some Dommes put up a lot of content, some just post casually and they each set their own rates. It is not a "one size fits all" kind of thing so it may be a great value to subscribe to one Domme's "Only Fans" but not sometime else's.

Ah I see, I was going to try it for a month to see if it was worth it. Only fans had a problem with my CC and didn’t seem to interested in helping fix it so maybe it was a good thing after all.

I have hear of several stories of cc's not being accepted, and customer service basically throws up their hands in response. Another problem as I see it is that there is no way that I can see to preview any of the content.

That’s exactly what I’m going through. That why I ask what kind of content could it be. They say they have thousands of pictures and videos but that could be selfie and vlog type stuff.

I tried for fans only and could never get any support from customer service after spending hours trying to upload stuff so I finally walked away from it I have learned that the market is so oversaturated with clipsforsale fans-only and all these other same types of simular sites, it's hard to make any money. I don't get it anyway why would guys want to pay to watch clips of Dom's or pornstars when they can watch it for free somewhere else.

I agree. One of my Domme friends puts more time and energy into fans-only, and the 10,000 other sites similar to it, that She dosen't have time for sessions.

I understand that in the goode olde days, when dommes didn't grow on trees, a well produced video was a special treat. There wasn't so much amateur bootlegging in the videotape days. But today, videos are easier to make and attention spans are shorter, so there's a good market for a five minute chunk of a day's shooting.

The appeal of an "only fans" sort of distribution is that, to some people, it's a peek into the less public persona of the domme, and that's where the money is. Your friend may find making "private" video is a better way of making a living than live encounters,

True one Domme told me that she has enough regulars clients that she mostly just uses them for video slaves for C4S. They can film hours and break down their clips to 5-10 minutes having days worth of contents but leaving not much time for new clients for sessions.

Residual income from clips is a great thing! Free porn sites, all/most content of which is stolen, has ruined the idea that you should pay for your porn. You pay to stream and indulge in other sorts of entertainment, why should porn be different? You used to have to buy magazines or videos to get a porn fix. I don't see why having the internet should change that. Buying your porn, especially from independent Dommes/studios, shows you are a conscious, ethical consumer who is supporting the people working hard to make your wank material. Luckily, the fetish community often draws people looking for things they can't find elsewhere.

The OnlyFans platform is great in theory. It's better than selling a private snapchat, where a creator has to manually keep up with payments and followers. Recurring subscriptions are great for busy businesswomen. There is also a pay-to-view messaging feature. This is where you can really rack up those "private," custom pic payments. Payment processors is a whole other can of worms, so suffice it to say having another option is good for sex workers.

Unfortunately, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I have heard many mixed stories from both sides. Now, they are having issues uploading and posting videos, a big draw for my client base. Many creators are switching over to AVN Stars, a similar platform, so keep an eye out for those.

There is an option for the creator to allow captions to be seen by non-subscribers, so you could get an idea of what you're signing up for if they have enabled this feature. Otherwise, I would check their twitter feed for auto-tweets of post captions or descriptions from the lady herself of what she posts.
