Most traveled to Cities?

Making the assumption that some cities like Seattle do not see traveling Dommes for activity / participation reasons, why do some attract more visiting Dommes and others fewer? Seattle is the 20th largest by population, about a dozen Dommes and a lot of high tech ultra- rich though micro SOFT potential.

This is actually a great question - one that I have pondered before. I will be curious to see if others comment, but my best guess is that a city has to be cultivated and it helps if there is an active Pro Domme scene already there. It's like the rich get richer.

Several years ago I traveled to Houston, which is the 4th largest city in the U.S. During my research I noticed there were very few backpage or Eros ads and only one substantial Domme (who doesn't advertise). I took this as a bad omen, but went anyway. I did okay but not great. The weird thing was that over half the subs I saw had never seen a Dominatrix before. The others had all served the local pro. Emails requesting a session or my return trickled in for weeks after my visit. It was like the subs there just weren't looking. Many found me too late.

That is an example of a town that probably could be cultivated, it's just too far away to make it practical for me.

On the other hand, I put out a few feelers about a Chicago trip (the 3rd largest city) and my email was blown up with requests. Chicago has a very active FemDom scene, several commercial dungeons and tons of visiting Dommes. And the rich get richer.

Interesting - "Cultivated" When i have to much free time on my hands i look at Backpage - Domme/Fetish section to see how that city stacks up. The deep south has very limited kink except of course Atlanta. Cowboy country is void with Dallas and Denver the exception. Surprised at Salt Lake! You'd think Moroni would rain Hell fire and Brimstone? Some places in Europe are void and others flourish.
In the massage/escort category, it would seem that the Asian ladies have all but Trump-ed (pun intended) other races to the tune of about 20 to 1. I find myself hoping it's not because of indentured slavery.
Here in Seattle we have movie crews seriously messing with traffic flow while filming the sequel to 50 Shades of Grey but that's Dom not Domme.
Thank you for Your reply.

Over the years, I've noticed several announcements of the availability for sessions by pro dommes traveling to Houston. It seems, though, that there's another reason for many of these trips for reasons other than sessioning - day job, friend or family visit and such - and they're using the trip to see if there's a little extracurricular work to be had. Those who travel to the same cities regularlly tend to build up a stable of session clients, but that might be just two or three. A one-off visit isn't likely to be very productive.

But then, look at Alice Morningstar. She constantly travels the US and the world, and has been doing it for several years. Perhaps it works for her because she's a specialist, offering something that not all BDSM pros do well.

But then, I suspect that

I Kind of think this is an "if you build it, they will come" as Dommes establish themselves, more subs are exposed and the ecosystem grows, but It takes time and effort. if the Scene is already well developed, it is easier to grow.
like soooo many other businesses.
