SCAMMERS: Beware of these things

SCAMMERS: Beware of these things - 11/23/23 09:32 PM

1. No website. Scammers RARELY have one. If none is given and you can't find one assume they're fake until further research is done.

2. They have a new account. Whether here or FetLife or somewhere else, scammers can't stay around for long so they almost always have brand new accounts.

3. Can't find any mention of them anywhere legitimate. If you research the name given you are unlikely to find any other mention of them online. If you do it may be on some weird random "advertising" or fake porn site or somewhere else you've never heard of.

4. Their talk is too good to be true. They will tell you some combination of exactly what you want to hear: they're very experienced, very beautiful, offer exactly what you're asking, want sexual service, will be your Mommy, offer discounted rates, etc.

5. They tell you to contact them somewhere like KIK or other places where it's fast and easy to set up a free account. This makes it easy for them to pop in, scam you, and disappear.

6. They may cold-contact you. Genuine professionals RARELY do this.

7. They say you have to buy a "kit" or otherwise front the money for equipment for the session. While some legit pros may ask you to cover costs for something special you're asking for, such as a sploshing scene, we either have our own dungeons or rent them. These things are already equipped.

They may also ask for more personal info that may seem necessary. They may ask for you to go into great detail of the activities you want in a session. They may ask for multiple photos. If they want that kind of info they should do their own diligence, look me up here, on Max (if it ever comes back) or on FetLife or Twitter. With the exception of Twitter where I also have a vanilla account, I have used just my AWS handle across platforms (nearly 20 years).

1>website with pictures that change.
2>presence in the community of +1 years
3>professional over the phone, setting up an appointment should be like setting up one with a dentist, or doctor.
4>no hot chat over the phone
5>if they flake on you, never contact them again.

Derived from all my lousy sessions, a hot blonde stripper that bought some boots and a cheap whip can do permanent damage

These can be details to pay attention to, but, really, I'm going to again emphasize that if the person does not have a website with their own custom domain then be wary. At this point, pretty much all serious professionals have one and scammers very, very rarely do. I have only seen 2 scammers create a website. One of them still manages to stay up: indianmistressseema.com. With stolen photos of Mistress Ezada and all.

These are a little tricky because in and of themselves may not indicate a problem. What is "more...than may seem necessary" or "in great detail"? This is subjective.

I think it's important to know your own boundaries and stick to them. Also, if something comes up that you are unsure about, just ask questions. Feel out the situation.

This could be shady. Why did the person say they needed multiple photos?

These can also be helpful but sometimes people don't meet them and are legitimate.

Flaking, by either party, is no good and I would be unlikely to want to give them another chance, but you never know. Sometimes it's a real problem and not a lack of professionalism. I'd ask some questions. No answer? Keep going and don't look back.

I just noticed you changed the subject to "incompetent Dommes". Let's start a new discussion for that one. That's pretty different from a scammer.

Re: SCAMMERS:+incompetent dommes - 03/08/24 10:37 AM

A scammer prsents themselves as something that they are not. So I don't see a difference. The problem is being a successful femdomme is very appealing, just like being a doctor. How hard can it be? So, anyone with delusions or ambition gives it a go.

The washout rate for pre med freshman is horrendous. Just like the washout rate for novice pro-dommes.

How hard is being a pro dommes? Just get some boots, a g-string, a corset (maybe), a whip, and act real bitchy. What's so hard about that? Never mind practice using the whip. Never mind 1st asking what a client wants. You go GRRL !

As a client, I use to wonder why is being a domme catering to my arcane desires so difficult? Be careful what you wish for. Ms. Leda without prompting said where else can you pay $300 (1999 dollars), for having someone pay exclusive attention to you?

Competant pro dommes do an important function for our society. A man (elliot rogers, son of sam, night stalker, green river killer, ted bundy, john wayne gacy, charles whitman....) could have released that over whelming homicidal angst if only they found a good pro domme.

The difference is motivation.

The scammers intent is to defraud.
The "incompetent Domme" is not trying to do this. She's just not good at stuff.

Your orig post has a very good list. Outside of newness, I have never encountered those red flags.

Things have gotten really bad for that list to even exist.

I wish law enforcement could get it through its thick head that a domme and a prostitute are not the same.

Hell, I've had doctors that couldn't understand that there were no exchange of biological fluids during the 1 hour that a dropped several c-notes for.

"Look at me, I am good enough looking and got good enough rap line to get a poa for the sex like dogs cats pigs cows birds snakes spiders cockroaches..... do?"

There are a lot of scam accounts that pop up on FetLife and Twitter/X. I would also assume other social media that are free and fast for account creation. This list has largely been generated by what I've observed on those platforms over several years.

The issue is deeper that just law enforcement. The problem with sex work stems from Puritanism. We need to get people to not see sex and icky and "sinful". Thankfully, the culture is changing. Younger generations are more open-minded, questioning social mores, and less interested in religion and church. I think eventually all sex work will be decriminalized and then no more censorship and game playing.

Re: scamming - 03/13/24 01:28 AM

The sex part of dominatrixing ceased in the early '80's with the aids epidemic. No bodily fluids are exchanged, and the service providers are mostly clothed, although it is leather , latex, and rubber. They are still covered per se.

Going to a domme for sex would be like going to the dentist just to get your teeth flossed. I.e. seeing someone who is extremely skilled to satisfy the most basic biological function.
