A female airline attendant for Malaysia Airlines was fired for being one pound over the company's weight guidelines. She had been with the company for 25 years. So, I'm assuming she was post menopausal. She is 5'2 and weighed 133. The company had offered classes at a gym, had regular weigh ins and have her plenty of warnings to slim down. One one hand, this is their policy and they did their part in providing assistance. On the other hand, how can a middle aged woman be held to the same standards as a 25 year old? The weight chart they were using for idea weight was one size for all, regardless of age.

She sued and lost. I'm surprised her attorneys did not pursue the avenue of age. I find this a terrible display of age discrimination. What are you thoughts?
