After having seen the incomparable Vinyl Queen in SF/Oakland earlier this year, i had the wonderful opportunity to see Her again during Her recent visit to Detroit. While the last visit focused on exploring Her power in Her studio, with pain and torment high on the menu, this visit focused on feminization.

We started with a quick trip to Janet's Closet -- a cross-dresser haven on the southern fringe of Detroit. There i had my makeup done while VQ browsed for a couple of new dresses for me. They always do an impressive job with makeup, and i've come to know the artists personally through the years, but having Her Majesty there made the experience even more memorable. It was obvious i had no real say in the matter, which i found intensely exciting. And i got two new dresses as well smile.

From there we went to an upscale Japanese fusion restaurant with me fully dressed. Now, i've dressed a lot, but it has always been either (a) in private, (b) Halloween, or (c) a costume party. This was the first time i've ever been out in public dressed without a suitable cover story, so this was a pretty big experience for me. All the booths were occupied when we arrived, and my dress was way too short to sit on an elevated chair, so we waited. While we did so (in 5-inch heels), VQ took a couple of pictures of me. Fortunately for my feet, a booth opened fairly quickly. i got a few stares from patrons, but everyone in the restaurant was pleasant, always referring to us as "ladies" and specifically to me as "miss". It also helped that i was with the most beautiful woman in the world; not a lot of people were going to be staring at me. But Vinyl Queen has such a presence, it really felt like i was protected inside a force shield.

One of the waiters -- not ours -- took it upon himself to make sure my tea cup was always filled, he was very gracious in pouring for me. Unfortunately that led to me having to venture outside Vinyl Queen's protective shield. i had to go to the ladies room for the first time ever. i didn't hyperventilate -- quite. Fortunately, i had dressed enough to know the panties go over the garters from the corset! i made it there, went in -- it was pretty small, two stalls and no one else there. i entered the smaller one, and managed to get settled. Of course, someone came in and used the other stall but they were much faster and were out before i had to emerge. i was even bold enough to freshen my lipstick in the mirror!

After dinner, we went to a casino. This was an opportunity for a *lot* of people to see me paraded around. Unfortunately the 5-inch heels proved too much, and i had to drop down to a more sedate pair, but that saved the evening. After a quick trip around, we settled at a bar for a glass of wine for me. we sat at a table with me on the outside, next to a pathway that flowed by the card tables and slots -- there was a steady stream of travel. But i was back within the force shield, so it was fine -- though i did have a bit of a struggle keeping my dress modest shocked. In addition to Her many amazing qualities, Vinyl Queen is a fascinating conversationalist. i kept having to remind myself i was really out in public dressed like i was, i was so enraptured with Her words i kept forgetting.

i survived the night, truly an amazing experience. i might even have the courage to go out sometime without the protective force shield -- though Mistress has promised next time i'm going to the casino ladies room! But She will go with me, so i'll be safe. In the interim i'm going to have to do a lot of practice in heels....but it might be too easy because i'm still floating on air from Her visit smile
