For those of you who don't know, TER stands for "The Erotic Review" and in the wake of FOSTA in 2018, they shut down and deleted the US version of the site including all reviews.

It was actually very much focused on escort rather than Domme reviews (literally wouldn't let you give the highest ratings unless sexual intercourse was involved) and was misogynistic as hell. I am sure the new site is the same way.

I thought the fact that it is back and available in the US should be known here because it may start being a thing again.

I was so excited to hear about TER coming back, I have 21 glowing reviews that disappeared overnight because of SESTA/FOSTA. But they are back up now!

I was going to list myself on that site when I went pro. Then, as I was completing the form to get myself listed, each question made me progressively less comfortable doing so. When I got to the one that demanded I disclose my pussy hair configuration I closed the tab.

Aside from that, I really don't like what I've heard about them allowing men to dock you for not doing unsafe practices, and also allowing fake reviews to stay on the site.

Yes, the site is intended for escorts, but if you claim your profile and set up an account with them they will remove any false info that slips through the cracks. I simply wrote their customer support and asked for them to remove anything that implied I did anything illegal. The reviewers can only rate you lower than 10/10 if you don't provide escort services, but its always been an industry platform for subs to write a detailed review. In terms of FOSTA/SESTA, they must've just taken some time to switch their server to a non- US based one to avoid the issue, much like Eros guide. Eros and TER are a fucking pain in the ass but a necessary evil in my opinion, until a better advertising platform appears!

My impression from Dommes was that it was next to impossible to make that happen and that they treated providers like crap when they contacted them. That's why I have a bad impression of the guys who run the site. Glad your experience was so different.



My experience is that it was that way in the beginning, but over the last few years it was up, they would actively reject reviews with a 10 rating if sex was not involved and a 9 rating if "jobs" weren't. Meant the highest I could rate a Domme was an 8 in order to get it published (although in the mini public facing review I could start that the experience was a 10 for D/s services).

When I was a young Mistress 500 years ago. I sought out any means of beneficial advertisement. Maybe TER has problems, but with the limited avenues of advertisement these days it is a viable option.

I believe at the end the highest you could give a non-escort service Domme was 7. 8=went the extra mile, which I think is a "job".

I remember they wouldn't let a review from a female go live. They emailed her saying they weren't setup to allow women to submit reviews.

Back during the day when Max Fisch wouldn't allow new registrations and before the Buzz, TER was one of the only places you could have a review posted. Now that there are other options, I have no intention to support them.

Glad it was that easy for you. I have heard several stories that said that not only did TER not want to remove it (your word against theirs), they actually made threats to the providers. I don't know what you did, but some of these other women might appreciate knowing from you!



But don't you see that as pretty fucked up? If you don't offer bareback, for example, you can get docked? I don't like those rules and wouldn't want to play with someone who made a game with them.



The reality about moving off-shore is that you're not necessarily any better protected if the country that's hosting the data has a MLAT with the US. You're probably marginally more protected if that country has less punitive attitudes toward "prostitution" but who knows what techniques the US govt could use to get a country to comply with a treaty.



I understand people feel they need to use them. But, sadly, that's what's keeping them alive.

Until we get FOSTA/SESTA repealed, we may not have any new ad platforms. But for those still around, I tend to want to stick to the ones who I feel aren't treating me shitty, you know?

Never signed up with TER. I ditched Eros.

I feel better focusing on what I can personally control - social media, my site - and it seems to be working for me. I regularly get new clients.

I just hate seeing these sites raking in the cash while they treat their customers like garbage.
