The Canadian "do not call" registry was used a telemarketing calling list for groups from jurisdictions outside of the reach of Canadian Law. The Caller ID information sent is frequently fake. I regret registering, because I went from none to at least 1-2 calls a day. The only way this might work would be to target the service that is being advertised, but this is dicey and hard to prove in court. po
