I occasionally get requests for nudity and practices I do not do, but these things can be more common here in Europe. I don't look down on these dommes at all. I am not compatible with these clients and when I explain that what they are seeking can be found for less expense, usually everyone ends up happy. Just because I provide a different experience, doesn't mean those other services and desires aren't valid. I have my niche and I am staying right in it.

I don't think it is Twitter per se. Perhaps it is because Twitter is a place where everyone is all lumped together. Since I started as a domme, I have always had to advertise along with escorts, which has lead me to screen my clients a certain way.

Ah, the dreaded Twitter question . . . Hello Ms. Rose Woods.
Obviously there are all kinds of people on Twitter that are part of the adult industry. I think it's in vogue right now to call yourself a Dominatrix. Most of the findoms are simply cam girls that have found a new, easier way to earn money. Calling themselves a Mistress or a Domme adds to their mystique I suppose.

Unfortunately some ladies that do in person sessions are starting to emulate this behavior. I think part of that is the desire to chase every possible income stream. Fans Only, NiteFlirt, cam sessions, FinDom, clips, etc. and they use these provocative approaches to try and snare clients. Unfortunately it falls flat with a lot of subs (as is evident in many of the responses here). I film as part of my overall market strategy, so I only do things and dress in films like I would in an in person session. The amount of money made from clips is a drop in the bucket compared to live sessions and if I didn't think it helped me book more sessions or elevate my brand, I wouldn't do it. I think many of the Twitter ladies you are talking about don't get this concept and think all of the twerking, nudity, etc. brings in more business. A big part of domination is about the tease and lack of access. It is not a concept that everyone gets.

I wish Cheyenne would jump into this question because a lot of what you see on ClubDom falls into this category.

Dommes can become bigger names by doing more sexually explicit material in clips. Showing your boobs, appearing nude or doing kink porn can mean a larger payday and more exposure on a major site (well... Guaranteed there is more exposure at least ).

It also may be a reflection of what they do in real life within a committed lifestyle relationship (in many cases, that is who is the suv in more graphic scenes) since they are more than just Pro Dommes. We sometimes forget that we in the Pro/client community are a subculture of a subculture and don't actually reflect the majority of people within the kink community.

There is also the idea (mustaken in my opinion) that guys who want to book with them understand the difference between reality and what they do on camera for fantasy purposes. Those of us on this board get that difference. Random horny guys looking at Twitter and not thinking there is a difference between an escort and a Pro Domme just don't and Ptos who do it have to deal with those idiots.

We also understand how many amazing Pro Dommes actually got their start as rope bunnies for pictures and clips. Doesn't mean they are any less or more dominant, it was just a different path... But, I guarantee you asking Kendra James, Carissa Montgomery or Julie Simone (among many others) to allow you to tie them up in a Pro Domme session because you saw them in clips and pics will not be well received but it is what made them famous to begin with.

So, I think the answer comes down to this... Real Dommes do what they wish regardless of what anyone else's opinion is and sometimes those choices don't make sense to anyone else (or even to them afterwards).

I’ve never session with anyone topless and prefer not but it’s to each own. I’m guessing if these women feel like they can get more clients that way more power to it. Of course once new subs they starting seeing those Dommes they think a big name Domme will too.
