Excuse me but can someone explain why this holiday is based around white sales and deep Furniture Discounts instead of the kinds of things I could use? I mean, seriously, how about 25% off on 30 minutes of sounding? Free key holding for a month with purchase of an hour of CBT? Complimentary "champagne"?

Just saying that a little customer service goes a long way in any business... Especially one built on customer servitude.

Before there was President's Day, we had Washington's Birthday. Here in Washington, sales were for $22 (used) cars, 22 cent typewriters, and other absurd prices with "22" in them. I still have and occasionally use a Leica M3 (used) that I bought for $22 at a camera store's Washington's Birthday sale.

These days, it's just another excuse for advertising mattresses on sale. Sorry, no mistresses on sale.

I actually wrote up a really bad response to this that probably would have gotten me a $22 castration from the Dommes around here, but thought better of it (when the hell has that ever happened before?).

Love the fact that your $22 Leila is still useful though. Honestly sounds like Washington's B-day used to be better than Black Friday around there.
