does anyone else feel anxiety when you reach out to a Domme to schedule a session? i literally can think of nothing else when i try to schedule a session. i've had some Mistresses (from very reputable dungeons) who never reply or they make a mistake in scheduling and it honestly wrecks me. its been several years since i've had a session. i've finally booked a session and now i'm worrying myself to death that it won't happen. just throwing this out there to see if other subs have this issue. of course, i welcome Dommes perspective on this as well.

Hmmm…potentially two different scenarios here. When I reach out to a Domme there is definitely a butterflies in the stomach reaction as I wait for a response. Every time I see a new email in my inbox, my heart rate goes up in a good way. But that’s anticipation! I view that as positive.

If I reach out to someone new and never get a response, that is different and not positive. I always give the benefit of the doubt as I know everyone has things they are dealing with, but I’d never make travel plans unless I’ve had contact.

Sounds like you’ve made contact and agreed upon a session. I know it is hard, but I’d suggest just going with it and assume it will work out. Doesn’t sound like you have been given reason to doubt at this point. Have a great time and let us know how it went!!!

I have never had any anxiety regarding a scheduled session, but I have had plenty of anticipation. That doesn't mean that every session has come off as scheduled or as planned, but the vast majority have. The few times that the Domme had to change the plans I was given reasonable notice and options. I have never had a Domme just outright ghost me and keep the deposit.

Keep in mind that the Domme has every incentive to follow through on the session once it is scheduled and to make it a memorable experience for you.

I would expect that your session will come off without any problems assuming you follow whatever protocol your Domme uses. At this point, I think you would be better served by relaxing, just going with the flow and letting the the excitement and anticipation for your session build. That way, when the day of the session arrives you will be in the best possible mood and emotional state to enjoy your time with your Domme.

I have a sub with extreme anxiety who also has a similar worry. I always send him multiple emails before our session date, just saying something along the lines of "can't wait to see you on X at X time!" etc just to help reassure him.

But I only do this because he communicated to me that he has this anxiety. I think if you told the person you were scheduling with about your anxiety around this, they, hopefully, would do something similar to accommodate.

Sort of. When I go on Tryst, I usually narrow down 60 or so providers in a city to about 5. I eliminate based on age, either too old or too young, but ideally they are 25 to 45. Also based on rates, ideally 90 mins is 550 to 800. Also based on screening and deposit methods. I prefer anoniminity and nothing like cash app. It can be a bit anxiety inducing as I can usually only session when spouse is away, so you hope the person you reach out to replies and works out because I also don't want to burn bridges reaching out to several and only sessioning with one.
