Globally the economy seems to be in not the best place right now, so how's that affecting the Pro-Domme economy? It doesn't surprise me that no one replied. I don't think Dommes typically want to admit they are vulnerable. So, I'll be the first to do it: This economy is a challenge. Seeing a Dominatrix is a luxury service. And those are probably one of the first things that people stop doing when money gets tighter, or the market starts going wibbly-wobbly, or there are existential threats about [pick something]. I'm already a niche Domme. Or so I believe. I think our industry is largely fueled by fetishists. People wanting service tops. Instant gratification. And so those of us who don't allow ourselves to be objectified and instructed on how to do our jobs, who put the Dom in FemDom, who don't entertain ideas of being ready with an hour's notice are actually at a disadvantage, overall. I also don't take any session that comes my way. I turn people down when it's not a good match. Sometimes guys just look at photos or whatever and think you'll just be a puppet in their fantasy, ready and willing on their terms. They think FemDom is a porn concept, not a personality type. See paragraph above. Furthermore, I don't tolerate all the noise that can come with this line of work. I just don't have the emotional capacity for it at this point. It drains me. And I need all that sexy juice for my scenes. So, people need to show me they're as serious as I am or I'm not interested. All this adds up to a bit of a drop. And I know it's not just me. Some Dommes have confided in me that the sessions just aren't getting booked. Some have left the biz. Others are distressed. I feel for them. We're all just trying to get by in this fucked up world. Anyone NOT having a problem in this economy?

Paying a hot intelligent woman to pay exclusive attention to you for an hour is a luxury.
BDSM experiences can be a cathartic stress release. Alcohol and drugs are an alternative.
On one hand, tight finances will be diminish session occurrences. But the stress that comes from tight finances would increase session occurrences.
As for me, a great session doesn't justify an almost 200 mile drive each way.

Paying a hot intelligent woman to pay exclusive attention to you for an hour is a luxury. ...and even more so when you remember what risks she's taking on to do it. As for me, a great session doesn't justify an almost 200 mile drive each way. Maybe they're really not that great then

risks ? if it's commercial dungeon, they have huge german shepherds. At Lady Laura's when it was on Edinburgh in L A, during my session, I heard a female voice shout, "end of session !" The what sounded like a 300 pound dog barking.
In the next room, the customer was throwing wax everywhere.

Hello Mistress Tissa
The reason I session with Dommes is because it's fun, exciting and fulfilling. But It's only a small portion of life......Does that make me a fetishist? I think the persons you describe as fetishists just sound like entitled assholes who have little respect for others.
Which leads to my question. Can a respectful fetishist be a good customer?

The Driver Hello, The Driver - Can you do us all a favor and start this as a new topic? This thread is about the economy and you're asking about my mention of fetishists....which I'll happily answer in your new thread.

Saw this interesting thread by Domina Alexandra Snow on twitter that touches on this topic: The online adult industry is in decline, especially compared to 2019-2023 sales volume numbers. Even if you don't want to admit it, you know it's true.
However.. do YOU know where the money is going now? Because it's not totally disappearing but it IS consolidating. https://x.com/DominaSnow/status/2056429020837740593I'm not going to copy the whole thread out here, you can check out her twitter, but I will comment on one part of it: Wait I forgot compliance!
Platforms now require updated ID docs for every performer every time it expires. Content shot 10 years ago, performer retired and unreachable? Gone.
Then the latest restrictions? Pig tails? Emojis? Normal words like drink or sleep? Hypno? Giantess?
If this is true then the era of filming days with random film subs is probably over, in 10 years (or probably less depending on when their ID expires), any content with someone you can't get updated ID from will have to be removed. Even if you trust them and they're part of your life, what if they die? No updated ID then? So just solo Domme content then? Chicago Miss Simone Replied: I lost quite a few of my classic clips due to this. Person no longer alive or in contact to update. Ridiculous policy.
https://twitter.com/chicagomistress/status/2056442214327185667Also saw that the Blue Door Dungeon in London had to close for economic reasons, lots of other London Dungeons are advertising availability on twitter, not something I'd noticed before.
