The original app/site was created by a Domme named Lindsey Leigh as Follow+. She onboarded SWERS because of her huge influence in the findom and online domme scene. Her boyfriend at the time began to run the app, kicked her off, rebranded it as OnlyFans and kept its existing user base who were all sex workers. Once OF sought to get more acceptance it attempted to kick SWERS off and only kept them on because they're the users that make them the most money–even though they screw with sex workers all the time.

I'm glad I stayed away from it.


Thank you! I was telling people the story when it was first getting off the ground but didn't have Ms. Lindsey Leigh's name. No one seemed to care. I was just colossally disappointed that people shrugged about hearing a dude steal it from a woman and flocked to it anyway. People generally do not give a shit. If it's going to make them money, they're in -- even if it's run by a shitbag and all signs point to a cliff ahead.
