So maxfisch has disappeared or gone away? How the various people posting there have not moved to this forum? Does anyone know?
I just tried maxfisch again in the last ten minutes. Seems completely gone and down!

I believe gone for good. I used to check it now and then but gave up. There was so much good stuff to read, going back years. Sure wish all that was archived somewhere we could access it.

No sarcasm meant - maxfisch.com has bee gone for a long time. It is interesting that you only now noticed it.
In my opinion, more maxfisch posters haven't shown up here because for the last few years of it's existence very very very few people posted there at all. Fewer people there, fewer people here.
Think this place is an improvement upon maxfisch.com, as it was in it's last years. There is moderation. Nobody is disrespecting women. More dommes are here now, then were at maxifsch.com in the last few years. Finally got rid of that political section to. The conversations may be fewer, but the conversations here are on topic (pro-femdomme) rather off topic garbage barnacled on it.
If you want to chit-chat with prodommes it seems like bsky.app is the place to do it these days.

I haven't tried it myself, but archive.org might have some old maxfisch.com posts on it.
I think part of the reason ( not the dominant one ) it died was because it had no new good stuff, just old posts and nostalgia. You can't live on the past and it is kind of depressing to do so.

MF was on the slow funeral dirge for its last 15 years. I was amazed at how long it kept going. Without moderation, it became like other unpleasant places I avoid on the intertubes (4Chan, Twitter). Funny thing, when people are mean to women, the women leave. I think a lot of people found different ways to interact, different social media sites, such as BlueSky and FetLife. (In the name of all that is holy and good, do NOT chat with Dominas on FaceBook. That place is so full of scammers.) I think a more interesting question is why more people who aren't from Max don't come here. I'm doing my part in sending good subbies in Europe to write little stories about our encounters here.  I love the reminiscing about the Naughty-Aughties and good old days of Max, but some fresh blood would be nice.

I was mildly aware of maxfisch being gone but it seemed as if it went on and off a few times in times previously to the last lights out. Maybe I am wrong. It went away a few months ago or whenever it was. I was thinking of it and wondering why some of the maxfisch posting people did not migrate to domina, since some of the forums were similar. At least some of the women dommes in fact posted at maxfisch once or several times and have rarely or never posted here in domina!

Domina M I tried, when I began posting here a lot a few years ago, to get some of the better posters there to join here. Few, joined. MF was more NYC based, this is moderated and current. MF was great for me as a reference when I remembered something about one of my 20, 25 yr old posts or about a specific Mistress, to correct my memories and be nostalgic. Yes, "fresh blood" would be nice. Sites like this have their place but social media has taken over... oh, most everything.

Interesting question! I’m pretty new to this site, but have immensely enjoyed the discussions (and going back in various threads…have spent hours on old posts, lol). I don’t have the level of experience as many of the consistent contributors, but would be happy to chime in. Always trying to balance contributing vs being annoying with a more experienced group…so any advice on how best to help promote a fun/informative discussion is always appreciated!

I was on Max from right around 2000 until the end. I agree it was a shadow of it's former self by the end. However, I think that is just the way forums in general have gone.
