Forgive me if I’ve posted this question here before, but do others find themselves just completely exhausted after a session? I guess it makes sense, adrenaline stops, body is reacting to an intense experience. Does this only happen to subs or do Dommes feel super tired after too? I’m guessing it’s somewhat session related eg more physical sessions, more intense sessions equal more tired?

Maybe a silly question, but just on my mind as I had a long session earlier today and feel like I just ran a marathon and want to go to bed at 4pm lol

Not sure if this matches up, but yes, in the past couple of years I do feel exhausted after sessions. I usually session with my one-and-only Mistress on weekends in the early AM. Thanks to anticipation, and my horny nature, I hardly sleep the night before, waking up at 4 am or so for let's say an 8 am session.

Yes, by the time I meet Mistress at 8 am I'm high on anticipation and adrenaline. By the time I get home I'm tired and usually take a nap, often daydreaming about what happened. Of course when I was in my 40s that didn't happen. Thirty years later it's a different story. LOL!

As a Domme, after really good scenes I tend to actually get a surge of energy. It's actually frustrating sometimes when I have no where to put it hahaha

Once in a blue I'll crash and be exhausted, but it's a rare occurrence.

Not usually exhausted . . . with maybe one exception of 3 hours of nearly continuous screaming and yelling from CP. I was hoarse or had difficulty talking for a while . . .

But, generally, no, not exhausted or close to it!

I put a lot of energy into sessions, and I try to sneak in naps after them when I can. That's why I get so incredulous when people talk about doing 20+ sessions a week. Do they even do anything in session?

It depends on what I'm doing and for how long I'm doing it.

Very physical sessions tend to be exhausting but very mental ones can have the opposite effect on me.

Also:

When something is really sexy that is usually energizing.

When someone isn't very fun to play with that's usually depleting.

It’s perfectly normal to ‘crash’ after a scene.
Dommes experience this, too, in the form of ‘top drop.’

I always emphasize to people who have undergone a scene with me that they may experience some exhaustion or haze afterwards.

I tend to think of the term "Power Exchange" quite literally. When I have a great session and My client is truly submitting, they should feel drained and I should have the energy leaving the session. When I get a client who's just completely shut down, unresponsive to anything I throw at them, too nervous, untrusting, or just without mutual chemistry, etc, that's when I feel drained. Having to pull the vulnerability out and getting someone to submit when they haven't arrived ready to do so is exhausting! I think you've done your job as submissive if you feel completely relaxed, but exhausted, when you leave a session. The feeling you get when you run a marathon --- a feeling of accomplishment--- but worn out! The Domme has your "power" now and you should leave the session feeling like you've given it up!
