Well, the whole topic and discussion led me to read a bit more about injuries and death and bdsm and other kinds of death.

If and when a person dies from bdsm activities, in the majority of cases it is a case of hanging, strangling or choking. Nearly all bdsm deaths are of this type, but there are also some in which the guy/sub has a heart attack.

Someone has posted a link to an essay by a medically trained professional who claims that all the other med prof he knows say that no one should do breath play because a person can die of cardiac arrest, unexpectedly . . . and he claims to know or know of 2 persons in jail or prison from bdsm breath play.

On that basis, no one should be doing bdsm at all. Here is why. Heart attacks resulting in death or strokes resulting in death have taken place from plain old stress of a dozen kinds. Deadly heart attacks and deadly strokes have happened due to being subjected to pepper spray, confrontation or fighting by police with criminals, or running for a long distance for which your bodies is not trained and ready.

There is a Yale police officer in the news with his funeral, died allegedly from the stress of several hours of arresting or confronting some criminals, at times in the company of other officers or the FBI or whomever it was that he was helping.

The guy who ran the first marathon we know of collapsed and died. You know. Back in Greece in 490 B.C against the Persians. The Greeks won and sent a messenger to run back to Athens. The messenger got to Athens, told them of the victory, then collapsed and died.
