Two things come to mind.

1. Play with experienced, skilled pro Dommes with established reputations, not content creators who've decided to do kink. We subs need to take some responsibility for our safety and do what vetting we can when playing with a new Domme.

2. If the defense statements are correct, this situation reinforces the importance of the basic rule about playing sober. Interestingly that is almost a universal requirement of the Dommes described in point 1 above
