Regarding scamming I suspect you are correct. I actually think I was scammed a few months ago for some gift cards as a deposit by someone on Tryst. I’m not upset about it , it wasn’t much , yand I’d have to write a short story to explain. She had an elaborate website and active twitter but her travel schedule seemed off. She did have reviews going back a number of years on TER which leads me to believe she was real but what you say about AI makes me wonder.


There are a lot of things I'd look for before I'd send anyone a deposit.

If no - no, thank you.
If yes - do a whois to see how old it is. If it's new, either wait or pass.

Is this person mentioned anywhere else?
If no - no, thank you.
If yes - where? You mentioned TER. How old are the reviews? Are any of them recent?

Smart scammers can crawl the internet for old names/identities, old reviews of people who no longer are active and "resurrect" them with AI.

I think I'd going to turn this into a blog post so I'll stop here.
