I was reading through a Reddit thread where someone was asking the trait that tied all Dommes together, which got a lot of... interesting responses.
But one response in particular I thought was interesting was that most Dommes love to bake. And I have to say it rings true for most Dommes I know personally.
Is there really a commonality besides enjoying the act of Domination that ties us all together, and is it ...muffins???

So, Just for fun...
Dommes, do you bake? What's your favorite dish? subs, do you know this about your Domme?

Mine is pumpkin pie.

I've known a lot of baking prodommes, two who were also professional bakers. One of them even made me a fantastic birthday cake. First person since I was a child to make me a cake.

I think every sub who behaves well should go home with a fresh baked loaf. :-)

I think hot cross buns are a better idea.

Oh, absolutely. Most dommes I know are total foodies, and it makes so much sense to elevate an essential function to an art form for the senses. As for baking and cooking, for me, it activates the same parts of my brain. Baking is an excellent combination of precision and creativity and requires a lot of focus. Of course, we excel at those mental tasks.

I make huge batches of cookies a couple of times a year, sugar or gingerbread, and give them to my friends and neighbors. As a side note, after 8 years of having my dungeon in Paris, NONE of my neighbors suspect a dang thing. I am always "The American with the cookies!" (And bad French :D)

This ability also translates to delicate sauces if you try them. The hollandaise sauce for my Eggs Atlantic (eggs benedict with salmon) will bring tears to your eyes.

This is an interesting observation. I thing it speaks to how certain activities seem to attract certain personality types

For example, here in Canada, I've always found that sailors are more apt to be into downhill skiing in the winter than powerboat owners (who are more apt to own a snowmobile)

I can see the baking thing given the precision and control that is required.
