Among the aspects of BDSM that seems different now than when I started decades ago are the numbers of dommes who identify as Mommy Dommes. I'm sure among the adult baby crowd this has always been a thing, but I don't remember dommes explicitly embracing that as their main identity or modality.

This identification clearly works for several of the very well established and successful dommes I see identifying themselves this way, and obviously for their subs as well. No judgement or criticism at all from me, but I'm curious, for subs on this board, is anyone compelled towards dommes who identify as Mommy's? What for you is the appeal?

Like you I have nothing but respect and tolerance for whatever people choose as their kink or fetish. I certainly wouldn't want anyone judging mine, and I recognize that you did not do so in your post.

To each their own, but like you I don't see the attraction to that type of FemDomme. Sincere best of luck to subs and Dommes who enjoy that type of play so if that is your thing then by all means go for it.

Not my kink either, but one of the dungeons I play at has an entire room dedicated to it. It seems to be one of their main focus area, so I suspect it has pretty broad appeal. People who enjoy a "Mommy" role/play aren't always doing it for ABDLers. Sometimes Dommes enjoy providing a nurturing role to their subs/clients, offering tuck ins, story time, hugs, cuddling, guidance, etc. It's a facet of human needs that people come to Dommes to fulfill.
