I'm late to this discussion but I'd say I am firmly in the "poly" camp. Variety is the spice of life and there are so many intriguing Dommes advertising on the web that I would find it very difficult to limit myself to just one.

There is also the question of travel and location. My ability to session with pros depends on travel and I often find myself in a different city for one reason or another.

The excitement and feeling of anticipation when you are about to session with a Domme for the first time is huge for me. The initial contact, discussing potential activities, levels of intensity, play style and gear that might be used all add tremendously to the experience. Sure, I'm occasionally underwhelmed or disappointed but that's all part of the process.

Having said that there are several Dommes I have sessioned with multiple times in the past so I'm definitely not "one and done" either.

Thanks for weighing in. You're in the majority as far as the poly approach to pro domination is concerned. Objectively, there are many good reasons for doing it the poly way and it's the preferred method, though of course there is no right or wrong way.



That is an excellent reason for taking a poly approach to pro domination. I'm either telecommuting from home or in the same office location for work, so the Dommes I see tend to be local, either Philly or New York. If my company sent me all over the world on business, I'm sure I'd want to explore the local Femdomme population. I've heard Tokyo is amazing, though London, Berlin and Paris would also be very much on my radar. That's my Femdomme World Tour Fantasy. Not very likely I'll experience that in my lifetime.

My excitement before seeing MVC never fails to be off the charts. I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning.

My experience has been that seeing one Domme exclusively lends itself to expansion of limits (both physical and emotional). There have been times in my years of play when I have seen one Domme exclusively, other times when I have been "playing the field" in search of that one Domme and other times where I have been poly. My best experiences have come when seeing one Domme exclusively. When there is that high degree of trust, a high degree of unconditional and non-judgmental interaction and the ability to read each other magic happens.

I am unique in that I am poly when it comes to relationships (bdsm & other) but that each of my relationships is really deep and dedicated during the time we are together (which is more that just a session & sometimes involves me moving in with a Domme I am serving for more than a week at a time). Its weird to have multiple relationships where I am basically collared but each one is extremely special to that Domme & me (it is probably similar to yours & MVCs in that it involves breaks in between seeing each other, with the difference being that those breaks are filled in by service to other Dommes).

My feeling is that monogamy has to be a two-way street (unless cuckolding is key to the dynamic, but even then it still has to be her cucking to cuck you & not just to get laid). Pros rarely have those kinds of relationships with client subs & my experience is that most have some other primary relationship over and above anything that they do as a Pro, including collared relationships with a client sub. So, if that is how they choose to live their life then I should do the same.

In my experience, this actually works better for them as they can pick me up & put me down as they see fit within the complexity of their life. They also all know that I base my life around their requests for my service & unless I have committed that time to someone else, I am always at their beck & call (for those that I have that deep relationship with).

Weirdly, I actually have only seen one new person since the beginning of the Pandemic so it's not like I am slutting around like I used to, so it's not the joy of the chase or some new kinky experience that gets me going, it's that every person brings something different to my life, which enhances every other relationship. Just my way of thinking..

I completely agree that seeing the same person over time leads to the expansion of limits. While some crave a variety of play partners, I crave deep and profound experiences that seem meaningful to me on some level. I want to go beneath the surface and experience the core of my submission. My heart, brain and other parts of my anatomy are intimately connected. Otherwise put, this isn't just a sexual thing for me, it's a heart and mind thing too.

Here again, I completely agree. That high level of trust, non judgmental interaction and intuitive connection can only be developed over time and to me that is the hottest, sexiest, deepest and most profound type of connection you can achieve with a domme. It is indeed magical!

MVC is indeed a beautiful and amazing person. She doesn't really have a "persona." What you see is what you get. I know that I'm incredibly fortunate to have found her and I'm grateful for that blessing every day. I will say that all the other dommes I saw before MVC were important too. I needed to go through all of those experiences before I was ready for her and could truly appreciate how incredible she is. I needed to have my boundaries firmly in place and know what I was about first too.



I knew if I asked this crowd my question, I'd get some interesting responses and I haven't been disappointed! Good for you. That's amazing. Where do you find the time for all this? I'm an old married guy with a full time job, so my kinky explorations with pros have to be kept under strict limits; time wise, financial, etc. It doesn't sound like you have many limitations holding you back, so congratulations on that score!


I totally understand your point, but I don't really think of it as monogamy. I'm married, so I'm not really being monogamous either. I think of it more like choosing to see one therapist or personal trainer over seeing several, based on the type of experience I'm looking for. I want MVC to see as many other clients as she wants or needs to, because I want her to stay in business! She could never do that if she only had me as a client, that's for sure! My being "faithful" and her seeing other clients lends the whole situation a kinky cuckolding vibe that I kind of like. I've never had a problem with being one slave among many, in fact I think it's kind of hot.

I know what you mean. MVC kind of does that with me anyway out of necessity. She's a very busy lady! I also go back to my vanilla life. It's all good. Seriously, a little separation is healthy.
