the novel is set in a fictional neighborhood in los angeles. the author was a dom in times square in the eighties. she has a couple of other books that are about kink including a graphic novel set in times square in the 80s.

Thanks! I entered the scene in the '70s, a college kid in NYC without much cash and just horny, knew little about BDSM. Had a handful of sessions, dropped out of the scene, but returned by the mid-'80s. Never sessioned in Times Square dungeons or with independent Mistresses there, but I'll check her work. Her writing may make me recall a few of my experiences.
