X.com ( Twitter ) will now allow third parties to use your content to train A.I.. X will get paid for your content, you will not. Training A.I. on content often means stealing/taking/using that content https://www.engadget.com/social-media/th...-220034195.htmlThis script lets you delete all of your X/Twitter content for free https://github.com/lucahammer/tweetXerSome might find TweetDelete easier to use, but it might cost about $5 USD to get the job done. Remember to download a copy of your content first if you delete old tweets: Settings > Your Account > Download an archive of your data It took a few days for my request to be ready. X didn't email when it was ready. I had to log in to see that it was. I haven't read this yet, but it seems like it might be possible to move Tweets and other things from X to BlueSky. https://www.wikihow.com/Import-Twitter-to-BlueskyHTH

...he would say that he would never use an AI model that trained on his data.
Seriously, have you looked at X lately? What a mess. They might be pulling data, but only from accounts that they know are somewhat reliable.
Twitter was a wonderful asset for me, pre Musk. I used Tweetdeck and had constantly updating columns. Some were on business items, some were news and some were for interests like the Golden State Warriors.
But now I am in the process of starting on Bluesky.

That feels. . .recursive. I won't list all the reasons to abandon my X account, but the amount of bots and AI is a major one, making it difficult to interact with actual people. In fact, You, actually, factor into my frustration. X would not let me reply to your latest reply. It kept bouncing back into drafts. Meanwhile, bots follow, unfollow, and otherwise engage.
I'll go flush out my backlog of tweets, but I've had that account for 16 years.

As a side note, we are all abandoning X for toxicity and poor useability as it seems to limp along. MF rattled on for YEARS afterward out of habit. Shall we put a timer on X?

X isn't going anywhere because it is welcoming all the radicals & shit-talkers that used to be a part of sites like 4chan.
Around July 4th, I posted a bunch of pics of women in American flag outfits... on July 5th, the algorithm started sending me posts from literal nazis (not right wing people who get called nazis, but people wearing swastikas & talking antisemitic about jews).
I think that pretty much sums it up.

I find it very flattering that you are quitting X because you could not reply to my comment. :-)
Remember that when X was still Twitter Musk gave the Twitter staff an ultimatum to embrace his new business culture or take severance pay. Most of the people who knew how to do things there bailed on him. The people he replaced them with are probably still trying to figure some systems out.
About your comment about bots. I haven't posted there a lot in years outside of people I follow. I can believe that the population of bots ( AND SHILLS ) is high. It seemed like the number of people stuck on full rage was a bit large and frequent to all be real kooks.

X should already have been dead. It wasn't making a profit with Musk took it over. I've seen news articles about Twitter offices having to close for not paying their rent. It seems like X might be kept afloat with Musk's own money or the money of his Saudi friends who lent him the money to buy it.

That's true. It will probably be around for a while, like 4Chan. Like 4Chan, it has no relevance in my life. It's been years since I even thought of it. I'm just trying to network with fellow kinksters and maybe entice someone to get tied up in my dungeon. Everything else is in my way.
