Another new trend is to require a tribute along with your initial contact request but I just didn't want to get into that. I understand about weeding out the time wasters but it is tough to have to pay just to ask a question about their style.

I don't think that Tryst pages are verified so I could be sending my $50 to some scammer somewhere.

I'm one of the Dommes who asks for tribute up front. I can't tell you how much more PLEASANT it's made the process of finding the right clients for me. All the flakes, phonies, and people who used my form to harass and even threaten me? Poof -- gone. Now, I only deal with people on my level. I honestly wish I would have always done it.

No website? I'd pass. The reason is because a website is almost a guarantee that you're not dealing with a scammer.

The whole using a site to advertise and then direct you to something like OnlyFans? Comes across as someone who isn't serious about BDSM, just the money part. They have a right to do that, of course, but if you're looking for a serious Domme then I wouldn't expect it from that kind of approach.

Well your site is exceptionally thorough so I can see your point. Most others contain far less information. Many sites don't include the Mistress's preferences for FTT, for example. They'll say 'toilet training' without the necessary details.

But, as we all know, there are more kinks than we can include on any website. Even YOU acknowledge "If you don't see your interest, please check my limits before making a polite inquiry." So the prospective client runs the risk of paying a tribute in order to be told "Nope, that isn't happening".

Thereby diverting funds that could have been applied to a session elsewhere. And maybe that's just the way it is.

Actually, after the first email exchange I generally suggest paying a deposit, even if the Domme doesn't ask for it.
I expect her to put some work into the preparation of the session, and it is only fair to put down some money.

It's no different than working with other professionals... e.g. attorneys also ask for a retainer.
