If you had a resource to be counseled (I use the term to mean guidance - not therapy) by a first rate submissive (or a support group of submissives) that successfully maintain(s) a 24/7 relationship with a dominant woman, would you avail yourself of it?

I address this to the submissives in the group, but I as a Domme have actually used this resource to help with my training of a sub, so I don't want to leave the ladies out here ;-)

I would, certainly. A sense of community and someone to help better think through the emotions, but also how to be better at serving would be mewningful.

Thanks for your thoughts gilcarnovsky. I think a helpful sub community is definitely lacking. Subs look to us Dommes for all their guidance and it can get tedious. A well trained sub can identify with the emotions you are feeling you are feeling, the challenges you are facing and give substantive advice. I have had the pleasure to be around some of the best trained boys on the planet (thanks to the House of Sinn) and we have been brain storming.

Let me know how you would see this collaboration happening and some of the topics/areas you would like assistance with.

As you know Mistress, I have sub friends who I specifically support & talk to about D/s issues while also having a group of sub friends who reach out to me for the same. It is part of a friendship thing rather than something formal.

I don't know if I could do that with someone just because they are a sub or a "resource". My life is too complicated to talk to someone who doesn't understand those details about me & it would take up entire conversations just to bring them up to speed (if they could even understand in a way that would make their counseling helpful). But, I think having a resource to talk to for client subs is really beneficial whether it is formal or friendship.

Personally I probably wouldn’t. I feel like my interests are fairly narrow and I’m more of a “fetishist” than a true submissive. I may be completely wrong, but just feel like I probably wouldn’t connect well.

That said, I do find connecting with folks who share my specific interests/fetishes is often helpful even if it is in anonymous, murky corners of the internet.

At the present time i would not make use of it. However when I was considerably younger I might have found it useful.

So one topic that would be for me something to discuss is how to balance exploration of kink in middle age. When I was much younger that wasn't a question -- one played or didn't and one pursued relationships in or outside of the kink community without much difficulty. At a later stage of life, when there are many more commitments but also perhaps one has a stronger sense of wanting to pursue submission as more than just a here or there playtime, there's a lot of balance. I don't know if that is sort too dull and too far away from the actual substance to fit into what you are thinking about, but I would say that for me is one thing I would really like to be able to talk about. I could go on but will leave it at that for now.

If you have no other excuse you can always just blame your carrier -- "I saw your voice mail but never got the call!"
