Completely off topic but i wonder if anyone else is interested in hiking ? living in a desert area, its both way too hot in the summer to be out for much of the day and also quite beautiful if one gets out very early. this morning i got away from the a/c and went for a hike in the desert and just felt so uplifted.

Nothing to do with kink here but i wonder if anyone else enjoys hiking.

I enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities although just like with sessions my body will not allow me to do what I used to do which is frustrating. I assume you live in the southwest or nearby by your comments about hiking in the heat. It’s definitely serious stuff. Sadly people die every year from mistakes, lack of planning, bad luck etc. Be smart and be safe.

Yes in the desert southwest and its alarmingly frequent that people either go out unprepared or dont have anyone aware to whom they are supposed to check in to confirm well being. I only do urban hikes (trails within the urban area) in the summer for this reason.

As an adult, I have always chosen city life. As a child, when I did not choose well. . . Have you ever driven I-80 through Nevada? Ever looked a lone house in the middle of nowhere and thought, "Who, the fuck, lives there?" Me: raises hand.

The desert has a special place in my heart, but I also love "urban hikes," too. Paris has the La Coulée Verte, which is delightful early in the morning. I'm the only one who seems to be out and about early in the morning, so it's so quiet.

i have driven I-80 from the Bay Area to Winnemucca and then 95 north all the way up to the Snake River in Idaho. Stayed over in a town that had one motel, one restaurant and no gas stations ...years ago but yes, i did have that thought!

What i have NOT done is driven the "loneliest highway," a stretch of US 50 in central NV that has one town (Austin) over a 400 mile stretch ...now THAT is where i would wonder ...

Your background in such a small town raises the question, which is not seriously being asked but which the reader cannot avoid contemplating, how does one discover kink in a place like that ...presumably that came later?

when the Promenade Plantée first opened, which i think was the late 90s or early 2000s, the gates would not be locked at night...i recall going for a very early, pre-dawn run on the wet cobblestone pavement up there and thinking ...this might have been a bad decision OR the opening scene in a Ludlum novel....

My favorite "urban hike" in Paris == taken years ago -- was north along the Canal and all the way up to the big park up in Seine-Saint Denis. Not sure if the path is still there...

I have driven I80 through Nevada so I must’ve seen your house. I like all the empty space in Nevada. It’s pretty amazing and or cool that you ended up with the life you did living in a number of the world’s biggest and most important cities not to mention becoming an established well known pro Domme.

I remember on a road trip showing up at an almost empty parking lot at Camelback mountain, middle of the afternoon, bon an extremely hot summer day. There was a ranger in the parking lot who approached me and started asking me questions and talking to me about the heat. His job was to make sure people were prepared for the hike and try to dissuade them. Once he saw I had a bladder hiking shoes etc he was satisfied and told me be careful have a good hike.

I know all of these roads intimately. I bet I could drive them blindfolded. I have driven them half asleep. After paying tuition, my newfound domme money was put towards a Mazda Miata. Driving 50, top down, dog in the passenger side, no one on the road, and miles of desert on either side? Highly recommended.




Never underestimate the resourcefulness of an isolated nerdy girl. I read A LOT of fantasy and science fiction—a lot of intellectual stuff, but also a lot of trashy stuff. I was also really into esoteric music. Sometimes, I go back and listen to some of my old stuff. I don't think I had a choice but to be kinky.

I often jog the Canal St Martin past Parc de la Villette and outside of Paris. In 45 minutes one is in the countryside. Are you speaking of the canal that splits off of Villette and goes towards Saint Denis/Stade de France? I'm not sure I would go that way these days as a woman alone. . .

I appreciated the desert beauty but hated the isolation. I always begged for us to move at least a little closer to town so I could visit friends. As soon as I could, I moved to the big city, Reno. (The Biggest Little City, in fact.) Since then, I have always lived in the biggest cities and always in the most central parts. People-watching in cafes is one of my favorite things. I like people. They are so interesting.
