That is interesting that the subs and Dommes in different cities all differ, especially the subs. Why do you think that is ? Do you mind saying what you think the differences are say from NYC and LA and San Francisco?

The simplest way to put this is that each city has a particular cliché about it for a reason. I feel like seeing multiple subs in a city was like tapping into the "psycho-emotional" vascular system of that place.

These are GENRALIZATIONS. Do not apply these concepts to individuals.

LA subs need emotional connection. This can be nice, but not something that you can force. If it doesn't happen, subs can come across as needy. Tops who are extroverted and controlling do well here. Some love to micromanage, and some love to be micromanaged.

SF subs are the most overtly sexual and perverse. SF owns kink as a part of its sexuality. Not that they push it into being vanilla, but they are absolutely comfortable with wearing their kinks on their sleeves.

NYC subs are super pragmatic and quite f-ing busy already! NYC loves to try to push boundaries but can graciously accept no. While NYC subs have a rep for being the most extreme, I feel these are outliers. Most clients wanted a safe mental vacation for 1-3 hours without having to leave Manhattan.

How can I say this about DC subs? They are tired and sad—not really in a bad way, but just over it. It is probably the most stressed-out city I know. They need discretion but aren't as obsessed with it as other people. Perhaps since they tend to have a lot of power (responsibility), they already assume every move is being watched.

This sounds mean, but I honestly enjoy my slice of kink providing relief to the mundanity of the day-to-day.

I guess I like a city and then think--hmmmmm can I make a living here?

I loved the intensity of NYC the moment I first stepped foot. I don't think I slept the whole seven years. I'm tired even remembering my life there. Hah!

Barcelona swung to the opposite side. It has a reputation for being a party town, but once one gets around that, it's all about the quiet life with one's friends.

Paris is the best of both worlds; so much going on, but there are definite times to relax. The Femdom scene is still evolving here, and it's kind of a mess. I'm working on it, but not convinced this is a good use of my time.

It’s all very interesting. You have a wealth of experience with subs to base these observations on. On one hand I think kink is universal but then I can see why certain cultures and societies might produce more foot fetishists and others more into corporal punishment and how subs of different ages will have different kinks. Of course there’s huge differences among people from the same place but I also believe stereotypes don’t just develop out of nothing.

Sorry, this is way too broad of a question. The spectrum of crossdressers/sissies is really wide, and the motivations are diverse. Some panties and stockings to enhance the moment or complete transformation? What do you define as the line to a "real" crossdresser/sissy? (Trick question. No one gets to decide except the panty wearer and perhaps the mistress.)
