I have been on Fetlife off and on for about 12 years.

I think it is great if you are looking for kink events, classes, munches, and so on. One of the first questions I ask people who want to know more - "are you on Fetlife?" Because there is so much information hosted there.

The down side is digging through local community drama and shitty explicit messaging. I really have no use for the "classifieds", but more niche groups have been very useful for networking and finding information. And before the huge influx of more vanilla "content", the photos and stories were often inspiring.

All of that said, as a Pro, I have not found it super useful in booking sessions. But I do get referrals from Lifestylers I have met through there and the local scene. My following there is quite a different audience from Twitter or IG or here. And knowing the audience makes a big difference.
