I signed up for Fetlife a few years ago. Never really used it - seemed like a bit of a hot mess tbh

Lately I’ve been rediscovering it and am seeing it in a bit of a different light. Actually have a session next week with a Domme I met on there - so we’ll see how that goes.

Curious if others here are active and if anyone else has found it better than it used to be.

I sent you a friend request! FetLife is a hot mess, but there's no algorithm telling me what my community is. I've become much more active there, like here, though I am more "mission-minded" there. I am working on building a community in Paris.

There are way too many people with personal ads, treating it like a lazy dating site, but if you can get past that (easier said than done), it's actually pretty great.

I guess I’m just reacting to the never ending stream of things like “I’ll be in X town this weekend and looking for a gangbang”. Or “young guy looking for a woman to do X to me” with X being some very graphic kinky act.

I have a hard time believing any woman is responding to that but idk. Maybe I’m wrong.

I’m finding it an interesting place to meet both local pros and lifestyle folks that I probably wouldn’t meet elsewhere. As example, I saw someone post an ad in a professional sessions group that piqued my interest. We’ve been messaging back and forth, have a video call set up, and then a session to follow.

Personally, I’d never post an ad there that said something like “Submissive guy looking for women to kick him in the balls for free”. But that’s a lot of the content tbh. If it’s working for guys then more power to them but I think it’s just clutter that drives a lot of folks away.

There is way too much of that crap and no one likes it. I honestly can't think of a woman taking up these offers, but that's dickful thinking.

I think it's a good way to meet dominas because you can see their multi-point kink profiles, who they are connected with, if they have lifestyle slaves, training other dominas, what types of events they frequent, etc.

I've always found it great for finding events but personally, I feel it has never been that useful for finding/booking Pro sessions. I do know other Pros have have been quite successful using it for that purpose.
