I had never seen this old video...Eartha Kitt being interviewed by a male and being asked if she feels that she frightens men. She then aggressively puts her feet on the man's lap, and he starts rubbing. I don't know what type of editing might have been involved, but it was a striking moment, imho.

So, I looked up Eartha Kitt and found the Wikipedia bio. I knew much of the story, but didn't realize how busy she was doing voice overs late in her career, and how much of a humanitarian she was. Here's the link:

Thanks for posting that clip, she was amazing in so many ways and certainly took complete control in that interview. Kudos for the guy doing the interview, his questions and reactions gave Eartha a great opportunity to display that sassy attitude we all love.

I have vague memories of seeing a movie with her in it maybe 60 years ago and there was something that just turned on me on immensely. I’m guessing she was wearing high heels and nylons and there was something dominant sexual or deadly or evil about her character that struck me hard. Maybe the word “blue” was in the title. I’ve forgotten the specifics but I can almost picture her.

I looked at her filmography and can’t come close to guessing which movie it was. Quite possible it was just the nylons and high heels that got to me so much. A vague childhood memory.

I love this clip!! She is definitely one of My all time faves (actor/bombshell/icon), particularly because I'm obsessed with vintage/classic Hollywood.
