I have done quite a few multi-day sessions and I fully agree with you! Kidnapping just adds all kind of unnecessary risks to it...
But we have started out sessions or resumed them after a break with me being overpowered.
Although the overpowering was well agreed on, almost rehearsed, I found that part pretty hot.
