I believe Nia has retired but her unique approach / legacy still seems to live on as something to be revered or should that be feared.

Was she really as brutal as some made out or has the legend overtake reality.

Who remains active would people say have a similar approach and severity to nia?

No one knows first hand, because no one has survived a session with her. It's all "I heard", "I saw", never "I had a session with her and ...."

Not sure about in the US but many of the German and some eastern European Dommes seem to offer higher levels of intensity and brutality than is the norm in the US

There was a great review on MF (sadly lost now) about a 3 day stay at The Chalet of Pain in Germany with Madame Celeste de Monial. She appears to have retired but it looks like Madame Carah is continuing with this type of severe incarceration type session with strong elements of CNC.

There was actually a lengthy review/session report on MF by a user named stevef or something like that. He spent 3 days there and no murder took place......he was released alive and (relatively) unharmed at the end of his sentence.

While the activities and conditions he described were certainly not within my limits, the concept is fascinating to me.

I'm sure it appeals to some. Being Jewish, I have a healthy distrust of uniformed Germans with dark, cold Dungeons, narrow cells and hidden holes, as far as the eye can see!

Yes, Professional Domination is legal in Germany, so a Domme can invest money into a dungeon and equipment and know that it can be her legal income for as long as she wants. Her name came up every few months at MF. None of the guys who gave first-hand account stated that she was over the top, unsafe, or that she went beyond boundaries. Different story for those who had second or third hand account. The the further away, the crazier the stories became.

I have never had a session with her, because contrary to some rumors, she did not enjoy forcing the sub to eat shit, but just wanted him to eat it "with enthusiasm", which is not my fetish.
