I recently safeworded out of a caning session when I should have lasted longer. I was wondering if anyone makes use of a mantra while being tortured (e.g. whipping). Something simple like: "I am your slave" or "Make me suffer". Keeping rhythm with the lashes or strokes seems to me that it could clear your mind and allow you to last longer or go deeper into subspace. The mantra could be something you want to accomplish during the session, like "Make me a better slave" or just "Make me better.". What do you Mistresses and slaves/subs think? Have you tried it? Does it work?

A very long time ago at the sadly losing since passed Paradise Lost in NYC I had a very intense CP session with two Dommes that lasted for two hours: several canes were broken over the course of that time. In order to keep me going one of the Mistresses made me stare in turn at each of the paintings on the walls and then made me call out the names of the different colors in each of the paintings. It had the same effect as you’re looking for with a mantra and I was very grateful that I stayed the course.

Yep Ive done something similar and it seems to help mentally.

Although i do take a slightly different approach my mantra is “hit me harder”. She doesnt really maybe a little but it has the same effect of repeating some sort of mantra.

I once had a mistress i had a very good connection with and i used the line “if you cant hit me harder than that i want my money back”. Obviously i was joking and use that line at your own risk. But she wasn't expecting it and got a good laugh out of it. She also obliged the request (to hit me harder).

the mantra helps me out and makes it fun.
