I am using this Tryst profile as an example. She may not be a newbie, but a $2000 minimum is truly an insane amount of money. TrystLink.

I'll point out a few things.

First, a very popular and massive female bodybuilder is said to have begun offering "dominant" or role play sessions. "No sexual activity" is in her listings and rumor has it she is changing $1000 an hour. Due to the rumor part of the story I'm not mentioning her name. While she has done tons of videos (the overwhelming majority not BDSM or wrestling) who knows what her true skills are?

Second, in my experience when it comes to recessions like we are in, or about to plunge in, now, Mistresses have been hit hard in the past. Fewer sessions made some Mistresses offer discounts. I don't wish that on anyone but the types of subs that don't have a ton of discretionary dollars will abstain on live or even online sessions for a time.

Third, about the "crazy sessions prices on Tryst" specifically, who knows what the real deal is. Could be findoms, newbies entering the scene or other things. I'm not an economist but more entertainment businesses - sports, movies, live music, etc. - in the past decade are going for the upscale market and not catering to middle class pocketbooks. Basically more money, but less work (more free time). Nice work if you can get it. We'll soon see how this goes.

I don't begrudge someone with rare qualifications, such as being an established female bodybuilder, from charging whatever they wish. They have something unique to offer that few others can.

I get what you say about the newbies. I think a lot of less established people are just slinging mud on the wall to see what sticks. Quite frankly, I went close to a decade without raising rates. I've raised them twice since the pandemic.

Atlanta now has the same cost of living as London or Sydney (source = numbeo website) and we all feel it here. It's a shock to the system for a city that historically had a low cost of living.

As a side note, I am encountering the have/have not economy. I seldom get asked for 90 minute sessions, but the amount of requests for 3+ hours and multiple provider sessions has risen significantly.

I stuck with $250 an hour, for more years than I'd like to admit. Our current level of inflation has caused me to raise my rate to $300. I spend a lot of time on the road. With hotels and flights what they are. I'm going to have to raise my travel rates in the near future.
