I'm looking for a new Dominatrix to serve. The unbelievable price of sessions shocked me to the point of giving up. It's a hell of a day when tubby, no experience, pseudodommes are asking $500-$600 an hour. It may be time for me to exit stage right.

There are a lot of experienced and attractive prodoms charging $300. to $400. an hour. My rate was $300. an hour twenty years ago. Part of the sticker shock is probably due to the prices staying stagnant for so long. I do have to agree that it is nuts for inexperienced "Doms" to be charging so much. If there is nothing spectacular about them, I doubt they'll stay in the prodom business very long. I don't know what the local NYC prodom situation is these days. But, there are amazing prodoms who visit the area every three months or so. I hope things work out for you. Life is short. You should enjoy everything, including your kinks, to the fullest.

As someone who works on commission, the cost of a dollar on the hour gets my attention. I don't mind spending money as long as it is well spent. The prime time ladies rarely fail to captivate and leave me fulfilled. The tubby inexperienced lady wouldn't be a consideration at any price.

~350-400 an hour seems to be about the going rate in my area with a little bit of a discount for longer sessions. In the 500-600/hr range i think options open up quite a bit to include kinky escorts, luxury high end femdom in a well equipped dungeon, strip club sessions etc. ive had great fun with kinky escorts but generally a little more expensive than a prodom.



I agree here this is not my style at all. While there seems to be money in this, money doesn't always equate to class or ethics. There seems to be a lot of “your worthless pay me” and taking advantage of mental health issues. And yes tons of glutenous receipts that i would be embarrassed to post publicly.

This is coming from someone who has done some enjoyable findom and dropped some pretty large gifts and tips on dommes that i had a great relationship with. But it came from my discretionary income and I always viewed it as if i am successful financially i want to celebrate that success with the Mistress in my life. The current twitter scene of findom seems to take a much different approach.

It would be fascinating to see a breakdown of the economics of running a practice as an average independent Pro Domme.

Studio costs (rent, utilities etc), equipment costs and depreciation, costumes (shoes, clothing etc), consumable supplies, phone and computer costs, advertising, etc etc vs....

Number of sold hours per month less no shows and last minute cancellations (remember, time is a perishable product)

How many hours per week or month are reasonably available to be sold allowing for session preparation, cleanup, time for admin work, days off etc etc

Also remembering an Indi Domme has no benefits or paid vacation

$400 an hour might seem like big money but I suspect that is just the tip of the iceburg.

The first red flags for me are a website that doesn't show photos of a proper, well equipped studio and of the Domme in a variety of fetish wear. The latter perhaps less so as some Dommes ( NYC's Troy Orleans for example) don't session in "costume". Lack of a list giving major pieces of equipment and gear owned is also a giveaway.

There are enough quality, well equipped Dommes around that I can't understand why anyone would session with someone working out of her apartment with little more than cuffs and a crop but still charging top dollar.
